I am facing the same issue. Also callers can hear a ringtone but my phone doesn't ring or notify of a call. They feel I'm willfully ignoring them. Mobile data also goes off like it's frozen and cannot start data from quick shortcuts or from within settings. I use Airtel in SIM 1 slot. Flight mode and back does nothing... Only restarting the phone works, that too temporarily... Phone reverts to this issue without notice within maybe an hour or so. Please help!

You mean a factory reset!? Really...? Come on man! That's ridiculous if we have to reset the phone and end up reconfiguring everything from scratch... My phone right now is in the same mode I discussed. I wish I didn't update the OS. This is very bad for OnePlus. I've been using OnePlus One, 3T and now 5. This is the worst phone so far with this glitch

here is same issue like Mr. mkpandey. even I have done factory reset and hard reset also after updating 8.0 than it's same issue facing.

some time I call to some one but I can't able to listen ring like I call to some one and suddenly he saying yes hello....

some time I called to some one but he can't able to listen my voice and immediately I disconnected phone and call to him again than he can listen properly.

this problem I am facing from Verison 4.7 to 8.0 up to till date...

one support saying put hard reset and I done that also but no results... it's really disappointed from one plus

Done that I suppose. I even deleted cache from the recovery screen as someone pointed out in another post. Still doesn't help. My phone is rendering the SIM totally inactive. Network registration info is showing "unknown" while the phone is going through this phase. What's weird is that there's no indication or a symptom that this has started again. You just need to keep looking :(

Noticed the same issue this morning, after a upgrade done yesterday night.
    * Not able to switch the default voice sim to Sim1.. even if i click sim1, it showed "Ask always" selected.
    * Not able to call using sim1, even though manually select sim1 calling, call were placed using sim2.

I restarted phone once and not seeing the issue now. Not sure what fixed what.

Edit: Ok.. issue re-appears. No sim1 .. though it shows network range.. Sim1 name is unknown and no calls from sim1 again.

Any chance you use Airtel Network because I do and I am not sure if this can also be escalated to Airtel? Thanks!

Wow! More and more people reporting the issue. I have also raised a bug report @ https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...ease-intermittently-after-oreo-update.748303/ with loads of info and screenshots but no one has taken a look so far. This is frustrating.

I don't have VoLTE service from Airtel. What's funny is that the option for VoLTE support does not show up while in that glitchy state as can be seen from my screenshots I took just now before and after a restart while typing this reply. I have also noticed that the VoLTE option being enabled or disabled while the phone is working makes no difference to the issue. I'm yet to understand why this is intermittent and what's triggering all this nuisance all of a sudden out of the blue...

Update : Cleared the Cache couple of hours back and restarted the phone. And the issue has not resurfaced yet. Hoping this was the solution. Will update if it reoccurs.
