I have oneplus 9 pro with Oxygen os 12.

My second sim cannot send SMS since the SMSC seems to be wrong. How do I update it? The default google messaging app has the SMSC option in the setting, but it is disabled.

    Also *#*#4636#*#* isn't working.

Did you contact your network provider?
Did you reset the network settings?

I did, and it seems the SMSC number needs to be modified. Also it could be because I may need to enable "Home IMSI" in Sim Toolkit (this is a roaming number). But I can't find Sim Toolkit either on my phone.

What do you refer to resetting network settings? I did try disabling and enabling the second sim, manually selecting the network, etc. I am able to use my roaming sim now to make and receive calls and receive SMS. The only problem now is sending sms

Before posting here I had already seen the Google support page and the steps. I've tried the other link too which suggests changing smsc, but the option is grayed out in Google messages. I tried a couple of other messaging apps and none had the option.

So you didn’t perform a network reset or factory reset, did you?

Got it to work. My second Sim provider, Jio, works differently and their settings are odd. Worked as soon as I disconnected from wifi. I can live with that.
