    sergiofcl , via OnePlus 3 , Apr 17, 2020 :
I have the latest version of oxygen (9.0.6 - pie), and have successfully installed twrp.
But when I flash magisk (20.4) it stays on bootloop.
Have tried supersu (beta and update version). It boots, but it doesn't execute root.
    Any help/ideas pls?
BTW, have flashed lineage (16 and 17) but it stays on bootloop too.
    Thanks in advance.

If you still have TWRP, wipe everything even the OS,

then connect to PC and copy the oxygenos 9.0.6 zip and flash it,
after 10-15mins reboot you will be in OxygenOS with stock recovery.

    Now, enable usb debugging and
Then fastboot and flash twrp again, and start over,
Make sure your Flashing Lineage os + Gapp Nano/Pico together and then reboot
(DO NOT ROOT OR FLASH MAGISK)

Alwasys remember when flashing custom rom & gapps, wait for it to load (you can skip skip and make sure the phone boots into the OS completely,

now you can go into twrp recovery and flash magisk..

    Thanks for your help guys.
I've already had some custom roms installed previously - Experience, nitrogen and havoc (9 and 10). But some minor issues (and poor SOT time) made me get back to oxygen (have made a full wipe before this).
For now I just wanted to root.
    But it seems quite impossible.

    I'm currently using https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/rom-10-0-op3-3t-paranoid-android-quartz.1216947/
its close to the feel i get of Oxygen OS and the most stable Android 10 of OnePlus 3/3T,
If your getting Bad Screen on time (SOT) on the one your currently using,

may i suggest you try AccuBattery and montior the real culprit, as in my currecnt custom ROM it seems my battery is at fault, after one more week of testing i might switch to OxygenOS again to re-check my battery life. and then compare the results of both custom and stock.,

sometimes custom rom/kernals are configured to use alot of power to give you the performance bosst require for old phones.

I'm tempted to try that one too. But I've reading all the feedback at xda, and it seems that needs some polishing.
What's your opinion? Sot is/seems good?

Im already using it as my daily driver, i too had camera crash, chrome crash etc etc,
so i formated everything using Twrp i removed the whole OS, and then reflashed 9.0.6.zip went back to stock, then reflashed twrp and then this rom and till now i havent even faced a single issue, there are minor bugs only in the updates they too might be fixed the developer has released v2 on 26th April too
