Uncontrollable Clearance Delay - Post Updates here

Yes, it seems DHL is batch updating the status on all of these orders since they're probably all in the same batch as far as paperwork is concerned. OnePlus must have messed something up with the paperwork. It would be nice to get an answer from them. DHL is supposed to get back to me with the reason for the extra delay.

Which leads me to believe they're waiting for clearance on a whole Pallet

or is it a way to pay less on shipping should be expecting a higher number of orders to make all deliveries.

Chatting with OP3 customer service right now. Here's the response they gave. Not sure what it means, exactly. The reasoning sounds more like a QA process BEFORE shipment, then a post-shipment problem, which I thought this was:

Sorry if this is a repost. I didn't see it go through. Here's what OP customer service had to say about the problem:

Yep, that has nothing to do with the clearance problem.

That doesn't make sense in my mind. If DHL has them, they have already been inspected. This is most certainly a shipping issue.

That's encouraging! Thanks for the update. DHL is supposed to call me back, but they'll probably tell me the same thing.

I was looking forward to using the phone starting this weekend, but I suppose no such luck! OH well...

People... You do all realize that our phones are shipping from A COMMUNIST country, with all of the, (pardon my pun), red tape that implies, right?

We'll get them when China is good and ready to release them. Not a moment sooner. Lucky for OnePlus that the Pixel XL is three weeks back ordered, eh? It's the only other phone worth considering right now.

I seriously doubt that they are going to open each and every phone in a bulk shipment of thousands.

It's definitely a customs issue - otherwise it wouldn't be marked as 'shipped' and wouldn't have been picked up with DHL. I am also guessing that this is a longer than usual delay.

Hahaha! Thanks for putting this whole ordeal in perspective. Made me laugh while reminding me that there are more important things in our lives then our phones! :)

to be fair, most of your products likely come from that country, most do not encounter issues like these

Probably because they're not being shipped directly. When you buy an iPhone at apple.com, it's being shipped from a local warehouse.

Yes, in the same boat as many of you. Will not make it today.

Spoke to DHL and they stated they have been waiting on paperwork from OP.
Chatted with OP and they stated they had sent the paperwork and it should get cleared up. Then got the standard 'this is a normal 24-48 hours delay', to which I informed them it was well past 48 hours now.

The response from One Plus is the whole shipment is detained. and give them 24-48 hours to try and fix it and you can't cancel your order, You can refuse it and that cancels the order and wait for your refund. I talked to contact I have at DHL and was told I hope you used a Visa to dispute the charges and get a refund. She had no hope of that shipment being released. usually 2 days is the norm 3 or more she said usually means it not leaving the country. I'm on the phone to Visa next. I had high hopes for this phone too.
