Uneven scree backlighting on OnePlus 7

  1. Pyrodactyl Cupcake Jul 9, 2019

    Pyrodactyl, Jul 9, 2019 :
I watched the Stranger Things in the dark and saw the glitch of the backlight ... The background in the video is not completely black, but a bit lighter, i.e. the pixels are active. At greater brightness, it is more noticeable. The light appears on the brightness from 5 to 13 out of 30. I photographed from 1 + 3T with Night Sight, in real life it is not so brightly lit. Checked on 3T, there the background remains black up to maximum brightness.
I do not know what to do now. It was ordered from JD.
Screenshot attached, you can try it yourself, if not difficult 1562689981521.jpg

Try this by switching off Dc dimming

I noticed something similar in YouTube when dc dimming was because in that technology current enters from one side and that current is reduced in dc dimming when brightness is less

if problem is there even after switching off Dc dimming

Get replacement bro thats not acceptable on amloed

OnePlus will accept it without issue

    Dc dimming is off
I bought it on JD, I will write them tomorrow. Maybe ask for compensation or the screen may get worse?

Even it appears in default camera app. When I capture image in full dark area and view it in gallery with 10% brightness, left side of the display seems backlighted while right side stays off. I also captured the image with gcam in the same scenario but in that image there were no uneven backlighted and all pixels were off.

I think gcam use another algorithm and take full black picture, while 1+ cam take almost black picture. Try take a screenshot and rotate it in gallery to check whether this is 1+ cam glitch or screen brightness issue.

Tried screen rotating as well as all other display calibration. This issue appears even in YouTube when nightmode turned on.

So what do you think you're going do about it?
And can you send screenshot, at which you can see this issue. I will check it on my screen.

I'm gonna stay put as the replacement of screen isn't required as it's good in normal brightness. But I didn't had any issues in Netflix while watching stranger things. In low brightness as well as high there was normal distribution. In your case you have to choose. Btw does this uneven backlighting occurs only in Netflix?

I don't know to do... Wrote to support JD, where i buy int and they responded: "We checked your video, asked relevant colleagues and we were told that this is normal."
No, this occurs on all almost black background, like pictures, videos. etc.

Then it's definitely the display fault.
