    There is a status bar section in settings. From within there you can remove icons at your will, including the alarm icon.

    Reminders/Alarms saved from google assistant will not show in alarm app, but in notification bar.

    I'd similar issue for alarm icon showing and going off as well, when there was none set..
    was able to fix temporarily with below steps...try them.

    1. you need to clear phone cache in recovery
    2. post reboot, clear cache and data under application settings.
