Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped Apr 11, 2015

every now and them ... noticed when i usually have a lot open or playing Clash Of Clans (may not be related) i get this message
"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
after which my OPO heats up almost immediately, gradually at first, and if i close all the apps (or reboot my phone) it stops heating, but if kept for charging when I get this message then the heat cranks up all the way !

Anyone else experienced this weird behaviour and / or have suggestions how to check this out ?
