7T gives on an average 6 hrs SOT, while my RNs infinix S5, a 150 $/ gives 10-11 hrs SOT on a 4,000 mah... With low grade hardware, CPU, GPU 4 gigs of RAM and a bloated stock ROM?

Any ideas why 7T with top hardware gives half the SOT?

    Thanks!

Which car do you think that will spend more gasoline? A Ferrari 812 Super fast or a fiat 500?

    Ofcourse a Ferrari.
But I assumed that a 855 CPU, Adrenal 640, Andriod Pure ROM, 8 gigs would consume lesser batt drain along with performance...

Huawei series P30, Mate20/30 Pro/ 5G are far more batt efficient and have equivalent if not faster than 7Ts hardware...

Faster and more powerful soc will only consume more battery.

You are comparing brands to a particular model.

Nonsense the latest SoC's are supposed to be more efficient. OP seem to have issues with battery management on all their recent devices, they've never fixed the high battery drain on the OP3 before making it EOL. I sense they've now got to many devices and to few soft ware engineers to cope.

    I have similar ideas.
Better batt management and lesser drain.
But since your a mod, so must be correct...

Not If you have a superior management and Kernel, which is the case with Samsung and Huawei
They run way more and still have the speed and endurance.
IPhones also prove that by doing great thing with smaller batteries and superior dev support.

I'm not comparing different soc's, brands or phones, just comparing a mid range soc with a top line soc, same brand same generation. A more faster, powerfull soc will spend more energy (on full and same load).

when i switch off my phone and then on it the battery back up and screen on time increases very much almost2-3 hrs but when i use for days without switching it off the battery drains fast and screen on time decreases too

But SOC is not used on paper, there is no way of knowing what running the same program will produce without hardware attached.

The junior SOC is produced to offer lower performance so if you pushed a 700 series using the same hardware as a 800 series and match the performance, it would lose as the 800 will be running well within itself.

I always found on the motorway running a 2ltr and a 1-1.4 ltr at 80mph+ the 2.0L always produced more MPG, as you had gone well past the sweet spot of the inferior engine.

Hey there i ws having the same issue for 2/3 days and i think i might found the solution for it.
    * Go to setting > Battery > Battery Optimisation
Here you could see all the apps are on Intelligent Control by default
*Change it to Optimise one by one (Which ever you think you don't want it to be running on background).
And change it your refresh rate to 60hz if you want to.
By doing all this brought me back to 6+ hours SOT(Screen On Time).
Hope this will help you as well!
    Thank you!
