I don't have such evidence and I'm compromising with this device. Next time I'll buy LG's flagship because OnePlus7T is my last mistake. LG also has good software custom UI and Excellent battery backup with 3000mAh battery too unlike OnePlus7T 3800mAh which is poor. Only 3-3.5 hours SOT.

Indian phone markets are very easy to handle than other markets because more customers and few customers who get faulty device and they don't bother now as now they don't need those customers .

I guess all have the same problem and OnePlus is not even trying to give an update which may increase SOT or at least battery optimization via Software like LG.

Yes bro. But for me MiUi, I never fallen in love with it after miui6. miui6 was the last time I loved Redmi UI. And LG, everything is there Software,IP68, Wireless Charging, Optimization. OnePlus is focusing only on new launches rather than focusing on Customer requirements via good updates for system improvements.

I recommend to keep the charge at 35-85%...

Yes. But this thread is to figure out how to measure SOT effectively.
    Any ideas ?

The new batteries are charging tech are intelligent enough to not hurt the battery. Anyways, you are going to do it maybe three times max after every update.

I got a reply from Oneplus tech that it will heat at 43°c when playing games and playing videos there will be rise in temperature and it's normal ... my friend is using redmi note 8 which is not even heating while gaming .... So we all should play with heat in the phone while gaming when we spend more than 30k for a phone right ???

Each device heats when you play, however it also heavily relies on soc implementation. Smartphones from varies oems based on same processor, like snap 865 for example, throttle completely differently. Some may heat like devil and almost not throttle, meanwhile others will drop soc frequencies in order to keep normal temperature. CPU and GPU (especially) usage may vary widely.

P.S. Don't relate everything said to exynos 990 - it throttles anytime anywhere after it reaches 40°C, and its cpu/gpu usage is sth not from this world. That soc is just bullshit.

It's not about, whether I support it or not. It either heats or throttles at extremes, however usually there's some balance. Read more about thermal throttling.
