And yet 6 posts up from yours, before you posted, there is a post giving suggestions on how to optimize the phone and possibly fix the battery drain. Links included in the post.

My phone was 13% at 1:00 am. I closed all background applications and put my phone on silent mode. I wake up at 08:30 am in morning and my phone was switched off. I mean really 13% drained without any usage? OnePlus needs to give some updates for battery management and camera improvement for OnePlus 7T. I mean come on its your flagship phone OnePlus.

I suggest you wait a bit, and post a screenshot when your battery has reached around 20%.

Battery drains disproportionately, for most phones, so the early predictions might not be correct.

As you can see, it's way higher than the 4 hr battery you quoted earlier.

Also, 15% is still left, you can expect around 6 hrs 45 mins which is a great screen on battery time.
There's no way you will be able to squeeze out much better battery stats for a sub-4000mAh phone that runs on 90 Hz.

I have 7T Pro 8gb variant, i am facing heating issues during normal usage like using fb messenger snapchat and the phone gets heated i touch upper area of screen and the metal rims on the upper and alert slider side it becomes hot. It also gets hot during updating apps and downloading apps from playstore and also after restarting the phone. I am confused, while playing pubg at hdr extreme, it gets veryyy hot and irritating to touch metal rims on upper side. Is my device faulty?

I am facing severe battery draining issue. With moderate use it hardly lasts for 7 hrs. I have even tried switching 60hz screen but still battery drains with same speed. Its been only 2 months since I have purchased this device and I have to charge it twice. Meanwhile I am writing this post my drained 2% withing 5 mins.

Try to Optimize the phone, this helps with Lag, Heat, Battery Drain and much more.

Clear your recent apps, also set 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

Go through 2 to 3 charge cycles, leave on charge beyond full capacity for a couple of hours. Preferably overnight.

After a few days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

Have come across that a few times.

When I find it is, I always clear the Google Play Store App info Cache and App info Storage as well.

I also clear the Google Play Services App info Cache and App info Storage as well.

    Then restart the phone

    This usually fixes the issue

If not, then I update to both their latest version of each of those apps from Apk mirror. Just make sure you select the right one. Always chose the right version.

    Arch must be Arm 64 - v8a + Armeabi v7a and nodpi.

Once downloaded this is what you will see

Once installed clear their App info Cache and App info Storage as well again after each install

    Then restart the phone again.

These services are constantly updated in the background, but can take a few days from date of release.
