Heat while charging is perfectly normal, especially when you start charging with a lower percentage of power remaining. The USB-C charger with PD standard will delivery more power with the battery at low percentages and throttle back as it gets close to full

I'm facing heating issue while using only mobile data. But when I turn on the Wi-Fi the phone gradually gets cool. Is this a normal issue?

had same issue before, found out its because of certain apps i had. Social media apps are usually the culprit. My advice is force stop all of the social apps/battery draining apps you have before sleeping, and check if you're still have drain issues.

Another issue might be due to bad service in your area, so you can try airplane mode and see if it helps

I recently installed the open beta 1 of Android 11 on my OnePlus 8. I noticed that the battery goes down quite quickly compared to the latest stable. In the evening at around 8/9 pm, after normal use I had like 25-35% left. Now I'm below 15% with the same average usage. I'm not using the always on display. I am using time-dependent dark mode though. Dark mode is one from sunset to sunrise. Maybe that's what makes such a huge difference. I'll try only dark mode tomorrow since I always had dark mode enabled in apps and the UI on Android 10.

the phone gets really hot while normal use.

Everytime I unlock the phone the CPU usage becomes 100% and temps jump to above 50! then come back down to 45.

40-45 is still too high at idle. clock speeds cpuz and cpu monitor keep jumping around even when nothing is going on.

battery temps look good only the cpu spikes again and again

    what is the issue?

I just got the phone a week ago and I'm getting 6 hours of SoT with light usage. This is honestly worse than anything I'd expected, since people are talking about 11 hours of SoT and stuff.
With my Mi A2 Lite, people were bragging about 10 hours of SoT and I was able to consistently get 7-8 hours. Reviewers rate this phone with better battery than the Mi A2 Lite, but it's worse for me.

Battery statistics (even Google's fancy docker tool) are giving me nothing conclusive. Screen off drain is fine (4-5% overnight), but the phone gets hot every time the screen is on, so I'm assuming it's on my side, but I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or just some persistent drain happening in the current patch.

With minimal usage I am able to get 8-9hrs of SoT (gaming also included (COD)).5% overnight drain is normal if ( Bluetooth.Wifi.Mobile data ) are On.Mine is 2%-3% with everything turned off
