Deleting the vanced micro g app seems to solve the battery drain issue. Try it out and let me know and stop creating new threads for the issue. So I deleted this and I also disabled the stock gallery app and replaced it with gallery go by Google. I am pretty sure it was the gallery that was the culprit.

Can you let me know the exact app name, please? I tried to look into my app list in Settings but unable to find micro g app as you mentioned. Please let me know the exact app name so that I can also get rid of this battery draining issue.

It might not be only micro g causing the issue.
I had mine os11 battery drained fixed by flashing blu spark kernel from xda. On screen time improved from 22-25% hourly to only 10% hourly.
You can feel that phone is not getting hot and remained cool.
For your information, the extra 10%-15% battery drained was caused by android system, oneplus os11 stock kernel could have corrupted with it for unknown reason.

Pretty good on screen time while I am using phone for nearly 4 hours since fully charged, left 64%. The second one was taken in another charged cycle, calculating about 10% usage per hour, I had even put on oneplus buds the whole time and bluetooth could have used more power.
search blu spark oneplus 8 pro kernel, it will save your day before the prolonged official fix.

After the latest software upgrage, facing heating issues while charging the phone and while watching videos

Also, due to this battery is getting drained quickly.

Earlier a charge of 80% would last for about 18-22hrs.
Now within 12-15 hrs 80% gets drained.

I'm Mathew, since last month (September 7th) I've been using my oneplus 8, I was very satisfied with the UI, performance, display, battery backup and all of the phone. So I had Oxygen OS 10.5.11. Already.I just felt that the phone was worth 45000 rupees.

I got the latest OTA Device update a few weeks later (Oxygen Os 11 STABLE), first of all I hesitate to do the update, because I heard that many OP8 users are experiencing issues with battery backup due to the new update,Nevertheless I did the update, but my excitement about seeing the new version puts me in trouble.

I have Problems with battery draining, I began to contact oneplus customer support, service center and all. They told me to wipe the cache, because the cache file would allow the battery to drain, as instructed, I followed. There were no problems for 2 days, everything works fine.

Again, I feel the same problem because with 100 percent of charge I get 2.5 to 3 hours of SOT, I need to charge 4 times a day, maybe it goes 5, so I wiped the cache again, but this time I struggled a lot, it was not helpful. I called them again and they assured me that the developers are working on this, that I will get the SOON update ...
yesterday,I found my phone had a bend and it's bulky too, I wonder what's going on ,so i removed the back cover
I found, unfortunately, that my battery began swelling. I removed my sim cards and turned the phone off without any delay, though now I only use my old phone. The reason I mention this is because if you are having this kind of battery drain problem or other heating problem after the OS 11 upgrade, please be aware of your phone and I highly suggest you to downgrade your phone to Os 10.5.11 without delay because it is faster and safer.
If you people really don't believe me, then I will show you the current state of my phones
i've posted the image url here , but i dont think that you can see the picture so please check this link down below

Battery is draining at a faster rate. After 8-9 hours of screen usage my battery is dead only by minimal usage including half an hour gaming. Please look into the depth in this concern.
    Thank you
