I was using Oneplus 5T before 8T. 5T(3300 mAh) battery after using for 3 years was like 35 to 40% at the end of the day & 8T(4500 mAh) battery remains to around 45-50% at the end of the day. I was very less use, I don't play games or watch much videos. Even my friend experiencing the same.
Can someone help /guide /confirm the issue?

120hz feels great. At the same time it sucks a lot of juice.

Does OnePlus 8T has a cooling system. If yes I feel that would help in reducing the heat. Generally when heavy games are played if the cooling system is enabled then it would be helpful for phone to cooldown. So I feel that should be the idea for reducing heat.

8T has an inbuilt game mode which displays the temperature. Did you happen to see the temperature while playing games? Did it go above 36 and beyond?
Mine goes to 41 degrees while playing and charging

Can't do anything without the battery stats. Also, Android by nature needs a couple of battery cycles before it can settle.

I too did, have already placed a replacement. My 3 yr old OP5 was giving better battery life.
Initially I got like 1%/hour or 6-7% drain is normal.
I noticed that the top side gets really really hot and around the camera side, if you make a hotspot, or use bluetooth or sometimes open a few apps.
From CPU monitor, it consistently clocked over 50C for CPU usage, which I feel is quite high.
Today I had a 7-8% drain and I used it for 4 mins, in the maybe 5-6 hours.
Phone sometimes feel hot to the ear as well which is really bad.
All I see is glowing reviews, but within a day or 2 I wanted to return this as quickly as possible.
I'm left with Rs 1500 cover that I don't know what to do with, I was that confident with my new OP device, but I'm disappointed with 8T.
