    Most of them are facing same issues like me. Not sure my device has manufacturing defect or just need to wait for software update

    I have OnePlus diagnostic app but it doesn't give battery health. It give battery level which is basically percentage charge available
    So how do you see battery health in %

    For 60hz it's giving 6hrs 10 mins from battery 90 to 20%
    For 120hz it's giving 5hrs for the same 90 to 20
    Both for light usage ( social media and among us)
    Is that good or do i have any issues?

    Even with the so called heat dissipation technology, my new oneplus 8t is having beating issues, while charging and while heavy usage. Didn't expect this from a brnad new phone.

    In the high-power consumption scenarios such as setting the phone in maximum brightness, playing games, watching high-definition video, shooting HD video for a long time, will cause the CPU runs at high frequency, power consumption and heat of the body will rise, but this is normal and will not affectting the using. If the phone heating in standby or low-power consumption scenarios, please contact OnePlus after-sales support.

    My main concern is my oneplus 5 does not heat up this much even with heavy usage and that device has a metal body.
    Is this a known software issue in Oneplus 8t? And will this be fixed via an update?

    I ended up going through the cycle of confusion regarding the battery capacity with my brand new OnePlus 8T. I installed lots of different battery capacity detector apps and I got about 2225 mAh battery capacity reading, now the phone supposed to have 4500 mAh capacity. I called "OnePlus support" and I asked them about the battery capacity on OnePlus 8T, and if it's an issue, they told me that I can return the phone!!!! Zero attempt from OnePlus to provide some sort of clarity to the customer. It's like buy the product and then you are on your own. I don't how they are considered a flagship killer. A good brand would always tries to provide some support to the customer instead of telling them you can return the device. I realized if I have talked to a bag of potatoes, most likely I would get some sort sort of answer regarding the battery capacity on my device. Last night I got like 8 hours of screen time and I had about 20% charge left. That's when I realized most likely the apps can't detect the second battery. When I saw this thread earlier today I realized that I am not the only one who has the question about the battery capacity with 8T. Thanks to those who provided some clarity here, shame on OnePlus for failing to support their products. This 8T was going to be my 3rd device, but now I am going to return my 8T and get a samsung s20, most likely would be a boring phone but at least I can get my questions answered by samsung and when I call samsung support they don't offer me a return label. Also I need to add that itlf you want to return something to OnePlus they will make you to return thier so called mystery gift as well, and it takes 48 hours to get a return label. Very disappointed!

    Which is the best battery detector app. My oneplus 8T drains battery a lot. SOT is only to 4 to 5 hours and battery drains like anything. My return time is also expired which i bought through Amazon. I am confused and frustrated what to do next. I damn sure if i got to service center they will open the phone and check the battery. Giving new mobile to service is really frustrating to the core

    I don't think there's anything wrong with your phone. Depends on the usage I get the same with my phone. I got 8 hours of SOT time once. Now I got 5 and 8 mins with 28% left. My 7T works much better than this. The fact that OnePlus is not addressing the 8T's battery issue is scandalous.

    I am sorry to hear your story. We need to keep posting about this and get them to respond to us. We paid money and we got no support.
