    Hey community,
I would like to ask those who have the new OP6T how much does the battery lasts when working hard or medium on phone. You can upload a screenshot of the analytics on the end of your day

There are a lot of people complaining about battery life. While many folks most likely know this already as its pretty common knowledge it should still be reiterated for folks who aren't aware.

While this isn't a silver bullet solution, enabling the dark theme and enabling it for any apps that support such as YouTube, Messages, Google News, and Phone can help.

Google did some tests. The results pretty much back up what we already know with real numbers

Note that this is with max brightness. Drop that to 50% and...well do the math.

Google details just how good dark mode is for your battery

Standard behavior of an OLED is that blacks onscreen are locations where the pixel is off. The more off pixels.....obviously.... the less power being drawn from the screen.

The setting is easy to find under SETTINGS > DISPLAY >Customization > Theme

Ultimately there will not be a single solution for battery life. But this can be one part of the overall puzzle.

You should wait for few days and then see how your battery performance is, don't expect great results in just couple days

6 and have hours with 29% remaining [e]1f60a[/e]. I am sure it will last me a day and also with dash charging it takes little more than an hour to fully charge the device so this is fine for me [e]1f60a[/e]

I know others have been posting about the battery life on the OP6T, just wanted to point out my own results. I came from a number of OP devices, I used to unlock, root, and try my best to get the best battery life possible. My latest device was a Pixel 2XL which gave me decent battery life. My new OP6T TMobile variant, has given me hands down the best battery life of any other device, with no special apps, no change in use. I would say that compared to the Pixel 2 xl it's giving me at least 50% better battery life. I don't think I've ever seen 7hrs of SOT on any previous devices, at least not in the way I use my devices. Guess I'm one of the few that's glad they got ride of the stupid headphone jack to increase the battery size.

that's definitely true. even I'm getting 7 hours SOT with heavy usage.
bigger battery is definitely a great improvement.

I also came from a P2XL and I'm impressed with the battery life! I'm trying to kill this phone today and it's a slow battle.

I did there was just Facebook, instagram and other social media apps taking like 10-12% of the battery. Nothing major

I would say the Facebook app is a huge one for taking up battery percentage. I would switch to just using it on Chrome. Pie also has a setting where you can restrict apps from running in the background. I would shut off anything that really doesn't need to run while you're not on them.

Hey @Ellinas89 what screen brightness are you using to get that sweet battery life? Man I really hope they bring back the always on display. (As an option.) I'd be willing to sacrifice a % of 40 hours for that. Can't wait to get mine 6t on Monday.

I'm actually using adaptive screen brightness, something I usually don't do, but it's been working pretty good. As far as the always on display, the have ambient display which is similar and pretty good. Turns on when. you pick up, press on the screen or get a notification.

does dash charge work as we are used to?
I have read something about only 50% in 30 min instead of 60% in 30 min as before on the older devices.

I turned off the adaptive battery and I find that the battery last allot longer. I think the adaptive battery is a fluke

dash charge is awesome. I didn't really track how long but I think after about 45 min it was over 80% from 7%
