    With Facebook yes. That app is a huge battery hog. But post your detailed app battery usage so we can see if there's something else eating your battey.

    facing horrible drain. SOT barely even 6. is it a problem with just the 8GB Variant?

    I don't use the phone to play any games. I ocasionally indulge into youtube. The phone is idle for the most bit. I honestly feel that my Galaxy Note 8 330Mah battery was more supportive. Is the battery drain a problem with just the 8GB Variant? I have set my time of display to 15 secs and use Medium brightness still facing this issue. Please help me with a fix or an update.

    I typically get 9-10h of SOT on my Tmo variant, and over 36h of total time. All that and I never burn the battery down below 20%.

    My use case includes lots of Twitter, some Facebook and Instagram, some Youtube and music playing, a moderate amount of phone calls/texts/emails. I don't do any hardcore gaming, but I have a couple of card and puzzle games. Nothing too demanding.

    Short answer, yes - 6+ hours of SOT is pretty damn good in most cases.

    All depends on how you're using your phone and apps/services running.

    I have the 8/256 and am not experiencing this. Got the phone yesterday with a 45% charge, haven't put it on charger yet and the phone is saying I likely have another 8 hours before I need to charge. Running 9.0.5.

    I'll refer you all again to the Mrwhosetheboss video on YouTube that shows a battery rundown test, which includes the 6T, and it comes in with nearly 7 hours of SOT with mixed usage.

    I have below moderate usage with brightness set on medium. I use only the basic bunch of apps like Fb,YT,etc. I can take sheer assurance that there is no heavy usage rather I had very heavy usage on my Note 8 and it supported better.

    I am already tired of this issue. I have gone to the service center 3 times. They have just one answer that the issue is in software. That's it. Within 6 days of purchase it is the third time I am visiting the service.

    I am using the 6GB variant. I don't feel like there is any unusual battery drain . I get very good battery backup and last much longer than I expected .

    I have already contacted the customer care 5-6 times in past 3 days. They just said that we escalated the issue to our senior team. And they said that they will call me in 24-48 hours. But till now I have not received any call. I had even mailed them 2 days ago and still I haven't received any response. They asked my IMEI NO. and even my variant and also the date of purchase. But still I have got no response from their side.

    guys for now, until OnePlus fixes the battery optimization issues via an update. what you guys can do to minimize the battery drain is remove face recognition, remove finger print detect, remove pin lock, remove smart boost and ensure that Bluetooth & nfc is switched off(if not in use).

    these are the things that I did on my phone to reduce the amount of battery draining, which seems to have worked to an extent because now every 1% reduces in span of 25mins(with minimal usage in mind- like using WiFi , WhatsApp, YouTube and this Community app.

    I was using my OnePlus One for 4 year and I used to get 2 days worth of charge for first 2 years but of course, now we have AMOLED screen which eats more battery comparetively.

    I trust in OnePlus, hence no plans of returning the phone but hoping that we get a software update to fix this issue to make it the BEST device AGAIN!
