Please use this thread for any questions, tips, issues and all things related to battery and heating of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Please note that the way you use the phone (daily usage scenarios and habits) will make a huge difference to the battery/heating performance. In a scenario where there is a heavy performance workload, such as photo shooting/video shooting/mobile gaming/video consumption, the power consumption and heating of the phone will increase accordingly, which is a normal phenomenon.

You are more than welcome to share any battery tips and tricks in the comment section and ask a forum moderator to pin your post on the first page of this thread.

Battery optimization never ends. To help OnePlus better resolve battery/heating-related issues, please submit a bug report via the Feedback Tool in the Community app. Thank you in advance.

I have used my OP7 for 3 days now. upgraded from a OP5. Disapointed about about the batterylife. Same amount of apps - same dayli use as in my OP5, but not even near the batterylife of my old OP5.
One hour om the internet reading news in my OP7 drains the battery for 23% ! Have to charge the phone 2 times a day now !!!!!

    any suggestions ?

A new phone needs to rebuild cache for system and all apps. This is taking time and power.
A new battery will need 3-4 full charge/discharge circles to get its full capacity.

Also, it would help if he leaves the phone on charge overnight. That will help the cache to build up without interruptions.

What about old phones? Such problems are reported everywhere by all types of users. People should just stop worrying about it and charge as necessary.

You do know that electronic devices heat up right?

Depending upon a lot if things it can heat up more such as settings, use and where your using it. Materials also can be a factor.

if it was u using it or some app in background hoggig all the power for some reason u felt it heating up due to high cpu usage.
thats pretty normal in any device.
if cpu is used too much it will heat up and ince its inside the device it will spread heat around itself to dissipate it.

so whenevr u feel heat in your device some cpu heavy task is being performed.

    check for background apps.

The battery performance will vary on any phone. I personally find the best way for me to test is to play some of the more demanding games. That really pushes the processor, display and radios all at the same time.
