I see your parents and/or no one ever taught you to "never assume". This assumption shows your lack of "effort" to even try and help. And, no, your assumption is not right.

Speaking for myself, yes. Yes, I did the research in the forums, community and search engines to fix the problem I am having with Google Play Services. Even did a factory reset to no avail. Let me also remind you (since you are quite aware of the this problem "assuming" that you have applied great "effort" and did the extensive research about this problem), the problem with Google Play Services has continued to drain the battery on my 6T through 2-3 system updates.

The solutions presented have not helped. In fact, the suggested have done diddly squat. While we understand these devices are not always going to be and will never be perfect, battery drain (especially through 2-3 system updates) should never be a flaw.

I have made things pretty clear. I would not be here talking about this issue if I hadn't done the research beforehand.

I see you can understand where I am coming from, right?

So that means you also completely disabled background data usage for Google Play and related services and all google store related sync?

Just to make some things clear... This issue pops up on ALL Androids sometimes and is not a Oneplus issue.

Google "Fix Google play services battery drain" and you will find a ton of possible solutions.

To make things a little more clear, the concern is not about ALL Android devices. This platform is a OnePlus community, for OnePlus devices, discussing OnePlus advice-promotions-issues.

Believe it or not, I've never had a Google Play Services battery drain problem on any of my other Android devices.

Thanks for the tip of another way to try and fix this problem.

I know people are very "protective" of this brand. Before purchasing this 6T, I had only heard praise about OnePlus. However, my experience thus far has not been good. I have also acknowledged the possibility that, perhaps, I may have gotten a device that is sub-par. Not "bad". Just missing something here and there.

The device works. It does get me through the day. I can make calls, send text and files, check my emails, and use a couple of apps to pass the time. I'm certain the 6T will last me until the end of 2020.

Well... I heard and read about Pixel phones having this issue too. Why would some other brand be immune when Googles own phones are not? That is why I said "all". It haven't spent enough time on other brands forums to know if it's equally as bad on other brands... But an unique problem on just Oneplus devices is certainly not the case.
I have tried many versions of Oxygen OS, stable 9, developer previews and open beta on 7 Pro. It has has never been the reason for huge drain for me. Neither on any other brand. I don't know what triggers it. All I know is that it's not limited to just Oneplus devices and the reasons behind it seems to be many. Some users have even reverted to using betas to fix issues. Some just needed to disable some of the sync options

I have updated my OnePlus 7 to Oxygen os open beta 2 (Android 10) and since that i'm facing battery issues. i'll list them below.
    Heating while charging,
Battery draining without even using it ( Charged 100% at night and by morning its 93% with wifi, data and all features off),
No heavy usage, just half an hour of gameplay, half an hour of music , 2 hours of video streaming and hardly an hour or one and half hour of social media... still need to charge phone twice a day.
Please read my battery issues and give me solutions about it.
Thank you!! Proud Oneplus 7 owner.

First of all drain your battery fully till 0% and then charge it till 100% without turning it on( would recommend you to charge your phone for more 10-15 mins even if it is 100%). Try not use your phone if your battery level is 20% or below 20%. Charge your phone till 80% only. Just once in a month or once in two months drain your battery till 0% and charge it without Turning it on till 100%+15-20 mins after it is 100%. Try not to use your phone while it is charging and make sure that your Wifi, data, Bluetooth, location and everything is turned off while your phone is charging. This will surely solve your problem and also it will increase your battery life.
