I think we all just gotta face the fact that Oneplus doesn't care about this device at all. Not even acknowledging this as an issue, or giving an apology... I wish tech reviewers would pick this up and raise more attention.

Thank lord I was able to give it back.

If I could get out of my contract and give this back I would do it in a heartbeat, this is absolutly disgusting.

My return has started can't wait for it to go back the lack of communication is disgusting the last I had a device like this was the Motorola zoom & at least they communicated with its users after using that device I learnt on how to root & found xda [e]270c[/e]️.
I don't know how it is but a few years ago if you have a defective device what "reboots"[e]1f609[/e] all the time if it had been sent in more than 3xs they have to give you a new device. I had that issue with my Sony k850i.

if you wait for 6 months the fee drops to £100; which is what I'm planning to do in December. I'll have had this crippled phone for 6 months on the 6th of December and I'll be straight down the EE shop to upgrade.

Yep, I'll be thinking of swapping in April, which will be S11 and other new phone launch season.

I'm thinking the Note 10+ at the end of this month when my 6 months are over
It may not have 90hz (which i'll admittedly miss) but it has a stylus!

Best part is, it's 5G and actually has an Android 10 Open Beta!

The Note 10+ camera is a beast! Well worth it.

I've had my share of samsung already too, so they won't be having my money again. The last good Android experience i had was with the Nexus 6P.

I've now decided for the pixel 4 XL, hoping for some good deals over black friday

Yeah my last Samsung was an S3 and I've only heard horror stories since then, I just want a working phone that gets support and somehow Samsung is currently getting that with all the hardware to back it up.

I would love to get a PIxel but the 4's hardware really let me down

You can't go wrong with the Note 10+. It has all the bells and whistles (but no 90hz display). I just wanted out of the ignorance that comes from OnePlus management. Apparently, the customer is never right and we should settle for shoddy service - nah bro, when I hand over money, I expect support and to be treated as equal as my non-5G counterparts. #fcukyouOnePlus

If you could get it with Android One and if it didn't have the glory hole I'd probably be getting one to replace this POS. Awesome phone, but 2 issues that make it a no go for me.

Yeah, the hardware is a bit disappointing, but the camera is awesome, the battery life is really not that terrible as the tech reviewers are making it look like, and I think I can get used to no fingerprint sensor, specially now that lastpass supports face unlock haha.

What a shame that this thread is becoming a replacement guide for your terrible oneplus device.

I agree. I have NEVER felt I made as big of a mistake in a phone choice as I did with this OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. This is due in large part to feeling deceived and completely ignored. It is as if they intentionally dumped this POS on the market knowing they had zero intention of supporting it. Then they specifically say it is the EE version getting it in Q1 2020. So, who knows if/when those of us Stateside will ever see an update. The OnePlus brand certainly relegated themselves to one-and-done status for this guy.

the lack of clarification is unbelievable from OnePlus. I had OnePlus since OnePlus 1 and now with this "premium" and "future proof" device, I am feeling really left behind and ignored. "funny fact", is the first one that I did a contract and paying a lot for it.. really feeling like was the biggest mistake that I did buying this phone. regretting not getting something else

To all of you who are still stuck with your POS device. Go to wherever you bought it from and attempt to return it under the grounds that you were misold.

@David Y. And @Manu J. Don't give a flying fcuk so long as their salary is still paid. Never mind the fact that we're the consumers and we've handed over a lot of money to OnePlus.

Do what I did, get down to your local EE store or wherever it is you got it from and claim you were misold. Threaten with the financial ombudsman, trading standards etc.

OnePlus, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves! This is NOT customer service. This is outright treating your PAYING customers like fcuking shit. I wouldn't ignore my dog let alone my fcuking customers!!
