I know. I actually r really liked the V40 but the updates were slow and go figure I switch and now LG is getting 10 out faster than OP is. Maybe I need to just get a flip phone.

hey I'm very happy for you!! it's like the 7pro 5G was just a step child of OnePlus!
it's crazy because the 7tpro 5G McLaren edition launched with Android 10 installed.

I bought 7 pro 2 weeks back, I am seeing a glitch in the lock screen. The screen is opening without any security, even though finger print security is added.

I just spoke with Sprint, had a chance to talk with the head of the technical service area and was told the Sprint version of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G can expect the Android 10 update the second week of January. this is welcome news if it proves to be true, he sounded rather sure about this so it has gotten me excited. If you have the Sprint version of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, your wait for Android 10 might not be much longer. Here's hoping this turns out to be accurate and in a couple weeks we will join the rest of the Android 10 and OxygenOS 10 community. I have the November security patch, which upgraded my OxygenOS to 9.5.16, and added battery performance enhancements, the next security patch will be along with the Android 10 update the second week of January for Sprint version owners. This means Sprint already has the update and should be done with internal testing soon and will roll the update OTA hopefully on when I was told, the second week of January.

I'm on the Sprint model too. How are you feeling about the "battery enhancements"? Doesn't feel better on mine than before this update. At best I get about the same, a little over 6 hours SOT but some days I get like 4 1/2 when not really doing anything different.

As far as the 10 update the 2nd week of January that would be nice but I'm also a little concerned with all the issues OP is having with the other models putting out a stable version. At the least we should get January patch since it seems we are getting some kind of update every 2 months.

Well @David Y. You got what you wanted, less users on this device.

I have no moved to the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and I can say for certain that the 5G on here is a hell of a lot more stable than OnePlus pisspoor implementation, I have a November Security patch and A10 is rolling out for us as we speak.

I'm glad I made the move, OnePlus really don't care about anyone using this device and i encourage anyone to get rid of it asap, you won't get support from OnePlus staying here.

yeah the battery "optimizations" hurt my battery life by about an hour to an hour and 45 minutes of screen time, it was a massive update too, I thought it was Android 10 from its size.

I'm hoping since this update will be through Sprint and they've done internal bug testing and worked with OnePlus that our version is a little more stable.

I have a OnePlus 7 Pro 5G with a November security patch, and my 5G has not been piss poor on mine either.

I used to think the same until I used a device with actual 5G support - Oneplus hasn't done a good job at all, its so much more stable and faster on other devices.

OnePlus gives 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security updates on the devices if I am not mistaken. I use the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G phone as well.

Sprint version update today. Dec & Jan security patch with GMS package update. I knew it wouldn't be 10 but why can't they get all 5G models on the same update??

    That's just odd.

UK version gets December but not January. Not a crisis but still odd that they still can't sync their builds.

Yes... the Sprint version has consistently gotten an update every 2 months. So we probably get 10 end of March. I doubt they release another update in February. But yes very odd they can't get the same security patch out.

I feel totally ripped off by Sprint and OnePlus. I don't know why I didn't' think about Sprint screwing up every update for every phone when I bought this OnePlus. I was just thinking how great it would be to have one. I should have just stuck with the cheaper LG since I'm never getting updates anyway.

I don't know I would call getting screwed over. I came from the V40 which Sprint didn't update until a couple weeks ago with Pie. Getting an update every couple months isn't bad for a carrier locked phone. I think just the lack of communication from OP about the Sprint 7 Pro 5G is what's frustrating.

I'm on Sprint and Just got the December and January Security patch on my 7 Pro 5G, Also made OxygenOS go to 9.5.17. I'm happy to have the absolute latest security patch, I knew it wouldn't be Android 10 either even though I'm the one that posted that Sprint told me it will be coming second week of January, but I figured it would just be a security update, I'm guessing March for Android 10. Sprint has been doing an excellent job with the security updates, it's possible we could see it in February but March seems more likely. What is an Android GMS Package that got updated along with this update?
