All users need to complain when some of the basic very important things are missing in an flagship device so complaining is natural.

Well, call recorder is neither basic or very important. We want privacy and to know that the call is being recorded.

it might not be very important for you but for most of the Indians when they do business they need to keep call records for future reference, and that is a very important basic thing which should at least be provided in flagship phones.

always the company cannot impose their thoughts on customers and if they do not provide the basic facilities naturally the customer will go for some other brand who will give this features to them.

Hello, so when someone calls you from different brand phone and he records your call silently it's fine but when OnePlus 8t user wants that feature you are talking rubbish. I don't why you are getting offended..

Call recorder but remember it only stores a limited number of recording so change it in the app settings or you can buy or install a mod of app and set it to infinite

But it is the only option to prove one's point that somebody said something over the phone call. There may be threats that one receives on calls, if there is a recording option, then it can be proved, otherwise who believes what was said on a call. So in my opinion, it was better to have the call recording feature. And what privacy are we talking about, all others can hear what is being said over a call, police, google, and so many other apps ask for permission for call, but the person who is calling can't have the record of what was said on a call.

They can, how call recording works now is that it announces the call recording. The apps asking for permission to the call also don't listen to the call... This is completely false information.

If you decide to record a private conversation with someone unknowingly and then share it with people without their permission.... It's a privacy concern. If they don't want to talk to you after a call recording announcement has been made, it's their full right to hang up. Just as it's your right to hang up as soon as they start making threats.

Does it matter where I'm from? Privacy is a human right, not a European or American one as far as I'm concerned....

Hi, you are no one tell a fellow OnePlus customer to buy a samsung. if they needed samsung people would have. We bought OnePlus because we like it and we love it. So if you are not interested in this topic please stop reading or commenting . The request for OnePlus phone app is very true and it's required for everyone.

If you are so concerned about privacy then u must ask Google to force every android device to come up with Google dialer and no 3rd party recording apps must be present in Google Play Store.😝

That's on Google's roadmap. They are aiming to get their dialler used by all other brands already if you didn't know....

It took them one update in europe to get google messages as the main one.... Let's see in a year or so when a12 rolls out and what that means for the the dialers that come with it.
