I got this device like a day ago and it's already overheating like anything. The battery is soo terrible, it went from 70 to 0 in like a couple of hours. Like what's going on !? I haven't even setup the device yet.

Anyone else facing the same issue? Lemme know if you found a solution.

If you haven't set it up yet. Do a factory reset before you set it up.

I am using OnePlus since 6T was launched and recently bought OnePlus 9 pro spending all my savings and it's disgusting how a flagship phone like this is struggling to even last for 5 hour after a full charge with just 1hr 32m of screen usage. I have attached the screenshot and this started happening since last few days. I literally have to charge my phone 3-4 times a day just for normal usage (insta,WhatsApp,YouTube) nd yes "I am not even playing a single game" I hope OnePlus fixes this asap. OnePlus was my favourite from a very longtime but guess it's loosing it's uniqueness with these kind of issues.

I don't know what you guys talking about. I got my phone yesterday and it was a update that i installed no problem at all. The phone was a little bit warm but that was because I installed apps and updated and fixed with icons and so forth. In the evening i was done and I charged the phone to 100 percent. I have now 4h and 8 min SOT and it was 13h since i charged the phone. I have watch YouTube scrolling through Instagram and Facebook and played some games. No problem with heat or battery drain. I have 56 percent left now.

Well, no, since many are having the same issue, including me, 4 hours sot, I've been playing careful with many apps, I was using steps app and Samsung health for podometers but I perceive an important idle drain. Yet... Battery life it's not good on oxygen 11

To make sure the info can reach the devs a report needs to be sent via the Feedback tool within the Community app. After that you typically get further instructions to collect more data. You gather proof of the problem and send it back.

    Hello,

I bought the new OnePlus 9 Pro with 12/256 GB 5 days ago and I am facing very bad battery experience. I can not even get a half day of use ( I use my phone normal , Whatsapp, emails, some Insta and some phone calls, I am not playing games ,not YouTube or TikTok and this stuff). I read on Google people facing the same thing, but I read some post with people having battery for 2 full days. Can you tell me what I should do, should I send it back to one plus? Is my unit faulty? My last phone was OnePlus 7T, and I think that battery last more than my new phone. ( And my 7T has 2 years of daily use). It looks like my 9 Pro has a 2500 mh battery, not even close to what they say 4500. Is not normal, a new flagship phone close to 1k euro not to be able to last a full day. Please let me know what you think, thx in advance!

Thanks for moving my thread, can somebody help tho? I am very confused, and if this is normal for oneplus9 pro, I will send back the phone...as I mention in my previously post, I am not using heavy the phone and this is not normal to charge a new phone 2 times a day just to make it a regular day....

There are a ton of reasons behind it. Some digging around and looking at battery stats may be necessary to see what happens. High idle drain, network draining...an app acting strange and so on. Some tools may help in seeing what happens.

A few guides are mentioned in this thread, for example mine.

    https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/battery-analysis-and-battery-drain-trouble-solving.1413430/

There is also some settling in and self optimizing period before the phone acts optimally. One of those things happen while charging and not using the device a long enough time.

Could you share a screenshot of battery usage stats?
Also I want to point out, the device battery is made up of 2 x 2250mah cells that sums up to a 4500mah battery. It's just Accubattery that can't understand and reads the data of only one cell.
