Using my OP9 Pro with Android auto and Waze while charging with my car wireless charger it's impossible. The phone just freezes and shows the overheating notification. When I get the phone it's very, very hot even with the air conditioner on.

Found 2 things that reduced drastically (like by a ton) my battery life in idle
Always scan and auto connect to wifi
As well disabled digital wellbeing and Zen mode
can confirm that I got way better battery life, also disabled OnePlus cloud services since I use Google photo and google drive mainly
For 30 minutes of YouTube with internal speakers I only got 3% battery usage, I was looking at 7% or 10%
    worth trying

In my experience, I had to roll wireless chargers, I bought a magsafe 10watts compatible battery and the phone was super hot, even charging slow, got another battery with 15watts charge no magsafe no nothing and the charge goes super smooth and trouble free

    Heavy YouTube usage
    No overheating in any moment

Plus i restarted and the clock started back, but I already had around 30 minutes sot

    So yes...

Thanks you so much Alex, i'm trying your settings now and i will post here if it makes a difference for me!
I also heard that turning off the Assistant saves a lot of battery.

I just bought the phone a week back. My phone is draining drastically in a idle state over night when the screen is off and not connected to any network. Is there any solution or should i return the phone to oneplus before my 15 days return policy is over? The drain is approx 30 percent over night in idle mode.

Have you tried to do some battery analysis? What seems to be the drain? Does it even enter deep sleep or something keeping it awake?

I usually charge during the night since I want to maximize the time I don't need to charge. Preferably lasting the whole day. And most often it does that just fine, depending on my usage of course.

turning off optimized charging and then clearing cache in recovery didn’t help?
Did you already clean the USB port carefully?
can you please try another charger, cable or socket?
Can you test your cable and charger with another OnePlus phone?

    What „you don’t have to“?
How did you clean the USB port?

Hey OnePlus India! I'm currently using OnePlus Nord 2! And facing huge battery draining issue! After latest November update I faced this issue in the morning!

I don't know how OnePlus Launcher is eating that much (70%) battery in night??? I left my mobile with about 79% and in the morning I was totally shocked to see that it's only 46% left...? There is nothing opened in the background even I left the phone with bedtime mode as well as Airplane mode. And still it's ruining in optimization!

Take a look at the Screenshot of Battery Usage! Screenshot_2021-11-21-09-43-08-43_0ba066473b79d6e213a1f6f52505e2ee.jpg Screenshot_2021-11-21-09-43-08-43_0ba066473b79d6e213a1f6f52505e2ee.jpg
