I can confirm your statement. Today it was only 19 degrees celsius in Denmark, and the phone overheated. It was not possible to record any videos :(.

So overheating is really new OnePlus branding i guess like its fixed for most things but the camera app keeps overheating the phone so i can only use the app for a minute and video recording max of 1:30 then it stops to "cool down"

What i really find strange that this only happens with OnePlus app other 3rd party Camera app dont make the phone hot or stop recording also taking pictures sometime phone says no even with 15+-°c outside temperature

Lets hope OnePlus can maybe make the app less heavy or maybe its the "Hasselblad tunning"

Phone still heating to 40-42°C. Really regret buying this phone. 70K for this phone. Contacted customer care and solution given by them was clear cache from recovery mode and it would be perfect. Nothing happened. Have shared log files and really hope some solution comes thru. Oneplus pls do something anything.

Facing the issue of phone temperature increased so reducing your phone brightness.
Any updates on this as this is happening very frequently even in Air-conditioned room with room temperature of 24°c.

What resolution are you recording in?
I've recorded for over 5mins with no issues. Phone warms up slightly but does not get hot.
I'm not understanding why people are getting so many heating issues.
My phone has been stable and hasn't overheated.
The overheating for the SD 888 is not limited to OnePlus. I've read other manufacturers are having the same issues.
I thought the new processors were supposed to be more efficient?

Don't know about the 9 Pro, but my 8 Pro never had the over-heating issue in the camera app

So I tried the 4K @ 30fps, phone got warm but no warning for over 5 mins.
Then 8k @30fps, got a warning at around 1 min 40, then warning disappeared. The phone carried on until around 3 mins then stopped due to overheat.

Oneplus doesn't have a solution for this. If they had probably they would have updated by now. For me the phone is unusable. In standby mode it is 35°C. On using it within 5 mins it is 38 and quickly goes to 45°C. Have shared log files multiple times but no feedback available from OnePlus. Really poor service and no Acknowledgment from OnePlus. Since the issue is so widespread that the resale value has gone down drastically. The next phone will cost 80K or so so it is better to dispose of now.

I have the OnePlus 9 pro green owned for a couple of weeks now

It is patched which was supposed to sort the overheating but it is overheating while Bluetooth listening to podcasts with the Sat nav on in my van.

This concerns me as the weather isn't even particularly hot yet , is it a defective unit ?
