[UNIFIED]OnePlus NORD 2 Battery, heating and charging feedback thread via OnePlus Community App

    Moderator edit:

Please use this thread for any questions, SOT, tips, issues and all things related to battery, heating and charging of the OnePlus NORD 2 .

Please note that the way you use the phone (daily usage scenarios and habits) will make a huge difference to the battery/heating performance. In a scenario where there is a heavy performance workload, such as photo shooting/video shooting/mobile gaming/video consumption, the power consumption and heating of the phone will increase accordingly, which is a normal phenomenon.

You are more than welcome to share any battery tips and tricks in the comment section and ask a forum moderator to pin your post on the first page of this thread.

Battery optimization never ends. To help OnePlus better resolve battery/heating-related issues, please submit a bug report via the Feedback Tool in the Community app or here

If the OnePlus care app is showing overheating in battery diagnosis, just toggle reverse wireless charging option on and off and diagnose with that app again.

    Thank you in advance.

Is anyone facing heating issues in nord 2?

Feeling little bit heated compared to expected

I've been running a game (Pokemon Go) for the last 30 minutes in an ambient temperature of 23.5 degrees and it doesn't feel too warm to hold. The gaming overlay thing is reporting 31 degrees.

    Hi all,

I am a new one plus nord 2 user.
The battery backup is around 1 day with normal standby and 2 hours of video streaming, socializing, listening songs etc.

I think battery backup is very less as it was expected.

Please add you valuable comments if any?

Only YOU can say what YOU expected from the battery life. As a rule of thumb the battery life should improve a bit over the first week or so of ownership as the OS adapts to your usage patterns.

OnePlus phones are optimised within a few months after launch. So you can expect some battery improving updates in a few weeks or months.

But I guess it's a wrong approach from oneplus. Company should test all things properly and then launch a product. Because if there is really any fault in the product, I cannot be sure. If I could be sure, I could return the product within the return limit date.

    Hello Friends,
Last Wednesday i got my new Nord 2 in my hand. I am not a hardcore user. I wil not play games. I have stock softwares in my phone other than main social media apps like fb, clubhouse, what's app and Instagram.

The problem is my phone is heating when i simply use it. It comes around 38 to 45 degree Celsius range. ( for that i installed a third party software ) Anybody having same issues?

    Hey there,
I am very much disappointed with the new nord 2 device. First of all there are lags in the OS then the battery is heating.
There are few sample images of how my phone's battery is draining.

I don't know what is making media storage to consume 41% of my battery life.
Please give your suggestions to this and let me know if I can do something on this.
