is anyone having heating issues while charging? it becomes normal after charging completes.

    Edited by moderation:

From now on this thread will be used to discuss possible heating issues on the op3t. All new threads about this will be merged into this one.

Please be aware that all smartphones heat up on heavy use, if you have used smartphones for some time now you will for sure have noticed that. :p :D

If the temperatures remain around the standard values there's is nothing to worry about it. If the phone also heats up during standby time, then probably you have some "rogue" app that is using the soc power when it shouldn't, please check your battery consumption per app and you will probably find the app to blame.

I bought my first Oneplus ever, the Oneplus 3t, it is a beautiful piece of machinery and I absolutely love it, though when I charged it the first day it started getting hot, I thought it was a mistake or maybe the environment interference was there, but then when I updated to 3.5.4 it got hot again, this time hotter than before it was worryingly hot.

And this isn't just because it's a metal frame, it has reached up to 40-45 Celsius I believe.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem or is it just me?

Install Greenify and check out if there are apps that always run in the background, using CPU power or looking for connectivity which brings unnecessary heat to our devices

Its normal, on system updates or similar high usage stuffs, it can get hot, but then it will be back to normal within minutes.

OK, but what about the times while charging, Dash charging is supposed it eliminate heat from reaching the phone
