Yea there will be a fix soon. It is already solved for china, then it will be there for us soon.
So you can buy your phone, but at first I would not update it. As the support answered me, the phone is fast enough at the version when it gets delivered. Then wait some days and then update it with the new fix.

Is there something wrong with the battery optimization as it eats up battery on standby as well? But what's is going on with WiFi, Android system and phone Idle battery usage? Is this normal? My LG G4 has amazing stand by as there is no battery drop even after 8 hrs of standby time.

You're talking about 26 hours. Even if you dont use the phone actively, some components will consume battery which is shown as system, etc. . It's normal.

probably everything will be solved with the update that is about to be released ... however from what I can see you're not bad!

Yeah I agree that I didn't use much throughout 24+ hrs. Just curious if there is something worng with battery optimization which I strongly feel after comparing multiple devices.

Yeah, there is definitely something wrong with Oneplus's overall battery optimization...

with this release of the software we currently have in some cases there has been a poor energy management of the battery. so with the next update the situation can only improve

Nothing wrong with that battery life, I would say getting over 6+hrs of sot is above average.

yeah I agree that there is nothing worng with Battery life, considering the usage of 26+ hrs. but don't you think the standby optimization hasn't been managed properly? On few other devices these components usages are very minimal.

I'll get my OnePlus 6 tomorrow and im very frightened what I hear until now. So, do you think, that I should stay at the version which the original one-plus delivery is? It could be 5.1.5 ..there would probably be no problem, so no battery issues as the support told to me, except the bootloader-fix in 5.1.7 ..And then I would wait until the 5.1.9 or 5.1.8 Oxygen fix releases, is that a possible way?

here's an answer, i bought my new oneplus 6 a week ago. it came shipped with 5.1.0. so there aren't any cool/new features from the other updates and ur forced to update only to 5.1.8. my recommendation, wait until a stable version comes out, that's what I'm doing

The company's replies become more absurd by the minute. I listen to music via BT on my phone for less than an hour a day, how's that the case of the phone not being able to last a day without charging it twice?!
Today I listened to music while being on my way to work and after 25 minutes of music (and even streaming as I listen with Spotify), the phone lost 1% of battery, how's that considered draining in the eyes of the company?!
just solve the F%&*ing problem and stop fuffing about with nonsense.
