shouldn't be getting heated that much till 45 is fine. I guess playing game and getting heated that much is insane it will degrade component life

    What?

Are you saying 45 will degrade the component life, after I just said that the CMOS is good for 80?

The battery should be kept cooler - I don't know about exact temps, but 45 and higher is pretty typical when charging

The battery is not so good like 3t. The battery drenches to 70 percent after 12 hours of moderate use. The phone is only 2 weeks old. I can imagine what is going to happen within an year or probably 6 months.

besides component degrading,..it gets a really uncomfortable to hold and touch the phones at high temp..No prob about phones withstanding 80 but our hands can't..

Show us your Screenshots at 50% or so. That first bit will always seem to drain fast because battery statistics aren't super accurate

    are you serious?
you say your battery drenches to 70 after 12 hrs of "moderate" use and you say battery is bad?

My OnePlus 6 it's cool even after moderately heavy usage :) . I got about 3 hrs of SOT, and the battery is at 50 percent!.. I'm very happy.. no issues :)

No, it uses (negligibly) more battery life.

No significant effect on battery, as far as I know.
These modes just alter the colours/temperatures displayed but still drain battery much as normal.

Try with a simple wipe cache in recovery, twrp or stock one. It helps sometimes.
Or you can try to reflash latest Oxygen OS 5.1.9 via twrp.

There's no cache in OP6. It's been replaced with A/B partition scheme. How I know? TWRP tells me.

As for the OP's post... use your phone longer before complaining about battery issues! You've only used it for 23 minutes out of the 5 hours since it's been off the charger.
