Currently Im using op2 and I'm planning to buy a new phone. since I use the phone heavily like lot many apps, I'm still skeptical to go for the same brand. so looking for more suggestions on whether to go for op6 or a lower version op5t will help me.

    hi!

You should go with oneplus 6 because battery anyways gonna improve by rolling out of software updates.

what you should consider is quality and performance at a price not more than 2k incdifference between the actual prices of op5t and op6.

spend 2k extra and you get 3 additional things compared to 5t:

    1. bigger and better screen (difference you will observe is not more than 5% than op5t)

    2. better camera as the primary camera has OIS compared to previous model (op5t) (difference you will observe is not more than 5% compared to 5t). However, OIS helps alot in night photography compared to 5t which is not a night photography phone as compared to other phones out in the market with same camera specs.

    3. both SIM slots support 4G and VoLTE

I used to have 5t and my friemd still has it so points mentioned are after observing the differences.

Good luck and don't forget 2000 cashback offer for sbi card and sbi debit cards users.

thanks for your expertise... I'll be going for OnePlus 6. but still more hungry to hear reviews. like mentioned earlier op team had already promised to provide rollouts for previous versions for battery issues. yet no signs of improvement

to be practical, sooftware updates never helps you get battery life by just few tweaks and we think now we will get 10 hours of experience compared to earlier 8 hours of usage.

roll outs do not bring any big changes as these changes cannot be observed.

However, what you should see is how much is the battery life you are getting when your phone is untouched (ex: when you sleep and no other activity is ongoing except your background android processes) as your phone is not in use and if your battery drains more than 6-8 % than I think you should be concerned. If it does not drain then your battery is just fine and you need to learn some battery optimizations tips and tricks and care your battery by not using phone when it is on-charging.

my battery was 36% when I left my phone with my bluetoth headset connected and when I got up after 6 hours, my battery was still at 36% now this got me confused and I am still not able to figure it out how is that posible on oneplus (trust me i never experienced this with oneplus 3 and 5t).

    I hope this helps you!

thats true software updates doesn't provide long life for the battery... just enhances the performance.

which phone are you using now ?

Getting issues with the video call quality in whatsapp. Both the recieving side and sending side are getting very blurry, choppy and jagged video quality. Tried on both Wifi (150 MBPS broadband on both sides ) and cellular networks ( LTE data speed on both sides )
Is there a solution OR is this an image processing software bug ?
I used samsung Note5 untill yesterday with no issues of this kind. I am certain it is an issue on oneplus side.

Any one else facing this issue are well ?

Do you have any idea what you are writing here? At least if you don't know, don't bother to spread fake info.
There have been a lot of updates oneplus released containing battery optimizations, and while this is something more subjective, a lot of users reported bigger battery life and SOT.
Also, improvements could be added through updates for improved performance, camera, and many more
