    Calibrate ?

Dude, I'm working as an IT tech, I know how to calibrate the battery of my phone and I know how to diagnose a problem on my device and this problem wasn't there before.

I mean, I have my location disable, I close every apps I use when I'm done using it, I reboot my phone several times and for more than a year that I've got this phone, I never had any problem with. Except since yesterday, just after installing the last OxygenOS update, what a coincidence.

This literally happens every single update yet people still complain about it. Drain to 10%, charge overnight past 100% (the longer the better), do this again two to three times. Trust me, this works.

Wrong, this does not happen every update. I have never needed to calibrate my battery before, nor have other people who have this exact phone, it generally works just fine. After this update, I too am having battery issues, calibration does jack shit.

I unplugged my phone at 6:30 am, used it to play spotify via bluetooth for about 20 minutes, then haven't used it at all since. It's down to 78%. From 100%. Prior to the update this would be down to maybe 90-95%.

You can start by posting a screenshot of your battery graph as well as giving more details to what your problems are. We're not mind readers. ;)

When someone tells you to clear cache in recovery, don't. There is no cache partition and is a placebo effect.

So here is my preliminary result. It has gotten better but under about 40% the battery feels faster empty and the smartphone starts to get hot. Link for google play service beta https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.google.android.gms

Guys, install the Beta 24! she runs much better and my one plus 6 is running well again. I have no battery, camera and heating problems more. embarrassing that a beta is more stable than stock version. And you have in the beta digital wellbeing which is very cool and useful. Is there actually the possibility to switch later on Android 10 Sable version, without losing data? Because I think that was like that at the time when I had the beta and then later changed to stable version android 9.

For more info about Beta 24 follow this link:

    ps:
Dear One Plus Team, before you release a stable version update, please test it in detail. I have no desire that my one plus 6 breaks because of your faulty software. otherwise you owe me a one plus 7 pro [e]1f61c[/e]

    OBSERVATIONS:

When my battery gets lower than 20% it tends to get relatively warmer regardless of usage and much warmer if I am doing something processor/graphic intensive than if the battery was at a higher level.

It also gets much warmer (the warmest) if it is below 20% (give or take) and charging.

    HOW I MANAGE:

Everything seems normal when at a higher batter level (over 40%) So I rarely let it get below that.

    ADDITIONAL TIPS:

Remove unused apps. Many apps run in the background without you knowing.

Avoid social media apps and be weary of many game developers since most are big on collecting data that Google gives them access to. These apps will wake your phone from powersave mode when your screen is off as well as run in the background. Each one adds a little more drain.
