    Hello everyone,

I got this battery life today with 3G enabled all day. What do you think about it ? Is it good ? Thanks

Well, it seems there is an issue with the battery in the currect ROM - I'm also pretty annoyed as the drain overnight (airplane mode on, rest is all off) is MUCH higher that before (>10% vs. 4%) and also during the day, the drain without use is higher.
It seems one of the battery optimization strategies doesn't work anymore.
I turned off Deep Optimization and saw no difference to the behavior when the feature was turned on.
Also, even when I activate battery save/energy save (mine is German so I'm not sure about the name in English) over night, drain is the same as savong mode being turned off.

A solution by OP woul he highly appreciated as it's pretty obvious that this problem was introduced by the current ROM.

And no, there werde no significant changes in the apps or any other change that would affect battery consumption.

agree been the deep sleep mode or offline line mode or whatever they call it is not working. yesterday night to to day morning below are the stats. 50% drain is very bad.

If not, why not? I too have started having this battery drain issue after installing the latest update, and I don't know of any other way to report this to OnePlus.

From maybe 4%, I'm now getting a battery drain of nearly 20% overnight when the phone is idle and wireless and data are turned off. It's NOT a good idea to leave the phone on charge permanently as that will just tend to heat up the phone, and hot batteries have a shorter life. Every battery has a limited number of charge cycles and over-frequent charging will only ensure that the battery's fail state arrives sooner.

Battery drainage is the result of the user, not the update most of the time.

agreed but how do you describe 25% overnight drainage without any use. also I see similar numbers when it's put in airplane mode.

    please explain

This is a pretty general statement which in general could be an approach where to look and where not to look at.
But as I mentioned above, the direct comparison from one ROM to the next (the current one) resulted in a much higher drain - no apps changed, no settings changed, all the same but the ROM changed.
This behavior even happens in situations where many influence factors on battery consumption are disabled as flight mode is on, WiFi is off, location off, BT off, phone does not get touched over night.
Additionally, turning on deep optimazation for battery does not lead to any difference.

So in this specific case, it seems OP changed something that significantly affects battery consumption due to optimization not being used although it's activated or something similar.

Hello there, I have recently been having problems with my OnePlus 6 overheating. The phone is not old, I purchased it in December of 2018. There is no physical damage and it has been in a case with a screen protector wince the day I bought it!

The issue started after a few light gaming sessions but then it started to her worse. It had got to a point now where I cannot use the phone for more than 5 minutes without it overheating.
