Updated my Oneplus 6 8Gb/256Go last week to Android 10 from Android 9 and i couldn't understand why i lose so much battery since the update.... Now i see i am not alone with this issue...

@Developpers : Have you a release date for an emergency hotfix ? My phone only last for 5h with a 100% charge... I am thinking to downgrade back to Android 9 if this issue continue... I don't understand how you can release an update that broke the phone like that and still not fixed it completely since mid-december 2019....

Hi, i think i found the root cause of the problem.
I did a battery calibration like in this thread ( https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/battery-calibration.496817/ ) and he helped a little when i am not using my phone (battery drain was normal before i did that).
But today, i saw a notification when i opened an apply that was saying "Game mode enabled", i searched to disable the gaming mode (like in a normal Android) but the option disappeared (in utilities) ! Instead of, there is a new app called "Game Space" which enable automatically game mode for several of my app which was melting the battery !
This new app was added by OnePlus during the install of Android 10 and is impossible to be removed. I removed all apps from it and it seems it solved a lots of batteries issues !

When is the last time you formatted the phone? Pretty sure this means either something has gone completely rogue or your battery needs to be replaced.

You should realize you are NOT communicating with OnePlus via this forum. You are asking users, just like you, for help. If you've already tried to reset (format) your phone then you should access OnePlus support for this issue.

Battery/ Heating issues started from yesterday i.e 03/02/2020. Battery draining fast 100% to 40% within 3-4 hours with the same usage of my phone. I am also experiencing some heat issues since last two days.

I had the same issue. Before, when not really using my phone, the battery would last for up to a week without recharging. With 10.3.0 the phone died just about every other night. In one case the battery which was fully charged before would go down by 45% over night with no messages coming in.
The advice to calibrate your battery seems questionable because after going back to 9.0.9 all my battery issues went away and now the phone once again lasts forever on one charge (note that I mostly use this phone to receive texts for 2-factor authentication).

There are several threads concerning Whatsapp and Facebook draining battery after applying 10.3.0. There was also a bug report in Feedback. Did you look at those?

Average is highly dependent on your phone activity.
