Hi My friends, I have a problem with my phone, the OnePlus 6, when it overheats, it turns off by itself. I don’t know the problem from where I did an update for the phone completely. Nevertheless, the same problem is still the same. Is there a solution? Thank you

I used to play games, but because it turns off on its own, I no longer play it ؛ Is there a solution to prevent my phone from turning off?

Thank you for your tips !

I partially tried it : only cleared cache for the designated apps. Nothing changed.

Been having a lot of google updates lately with graphical changes on gmail, agenda, etc May be related and linked to badly optimized google app release ?

Here is again a example which speaks for itself for my phone. Once the phone was charged, I left it with wifi on and did not touch it for hours.
Really annoying. Can't find any way to see which app is constantly requesting google app services.

Also I ran the Oneplus Diagnostic app : says battery heath 77%, which I guess is not that good for a phone that is only 1,5 years old.

Let me remind here that battery drain is still there in safe mode.

Yes the battery drainage is a serious issue with the oneplus 6 .. i saw jerry_rig_everything and was shocked to see that no thermal paste was being used for this product which is adding to this thermal issue. While gaming to heat is normal but on a day to day basis and using 2 apps simultaneously out of which one is chrome then this drains battery much more faster. Every app is almost kept on optimised setting. Only few which i know need the battery are not optimised but ita funny they don't effect much on the battery than chrome itself.

Try to Optimize the phone, this helps with Lag, Heat, Battery Drain and much more.

Clear your recent apps, also set 3rd party apps to Optimize in Settings Battery, only leave the ones you need run in the background or to notify you such as messages, email, Google Services, oneplus etc on Intelligent control.

Android may take a few days to optimize those apps after setting them to Optimize depending on your usage of those apps. A10 has its own learning curve.

After a couple of days, Check App battery stats at about 50% and see if there are particular apps using more resources than necessary.

If you can, you could try a Full Factory Reset to fix the issue. Steps below to Factory Reset the phone.

    After Backing up the phone.

    Go to Settings,
    Reset Options,
    Enable Erase Internal Storage.

Then click on the Delete All Data button.

Your phone will now restart and go through the Full reset cycle.

For more info on how to backup your phone, check the solutions here.

Or if you want to roll back.

All Downgrades to earlier builds involve wiping the phone.

So you will need to backup your phone data.

Thanks to @ironass for putting this together.

This Link will guide you through the Downgrade process.

Same issue, keeps getting worse with every update (which have been much more frequent lately). Trying the app preferences setting posted but we'll see.
