Although the phone usually gets me through the day, I still find the SOT a little low. I do find myself sometimes charging my phone when I come home since I never have enough for the late night. Should I be concerned, and if so, what should be my next steps?

I understand this is a stupid/common question but after searching the web, I got mixed answers and it's been bothering me for a while.

What dramatically screws the battery on my 6T is location being switched on. If you look at the attached image it clearly shows the rapid fall-off of the battery's charge when location was switched on. Bear in mind that the phone was completely idle, as far as I was concerned. I didn’t pick it up once during the battery free fall.

Phone gets very warm when this happens. Turning location off results in excessive battery drain stopping immediately

    Hi everyone,
when I fully re-charge my OnePlus 6T, the battery drains from 100% to 95% with almost no use of the phone. I didn't notice any symptom before, I didn't see any progressive degradation, but it's been happening for 2 weeks and I'm really scared.

To be clear: I always use the original OnePlus battery charger and the original OnePlus USB type-C cable.

    What can I do?

Thank you very much for any help.

I know this is a thread to report issues. But it's totally opposite for me. I am not getting any heating or battery drain issue at all. I'm on OnePlus 6T Open Beta 17. I'm getting amazing battery backup. Check out the screenshots. If there was a bug in the update or OS, it would've affected my device too, right?

Edit: Also, I haven't restricted background data, my phone's connected to WiFi 24x7 and I use VoLTE always!

That seems to be the consensus around here. Blame the device/updates rather than the apps and totally disregard doing your own research.

when can we expect an update to resolve this battery draining issue? don't know when unexpectedly the full charged battery will die out as it is getting drained fast

There isn't a battery issue. All users posting on here are showing apps that are known android offenders for battery drain. You need to reign in those apps. My phone gets very good battery life so unless you're on a beta or using a non-stock system you shouldn't see any issues.

no new software or apps installed since the issue started 2 days ago and battery performance shows no apps using more than usual usage. so must be some sort of update issue

Me too. it did drain a bit in the beginning but after a couple of cycles it's even better now. excellent battery life, no heating issues, and my data and wifi is on and running 24x7.

i really think people need to check their apps and how they use their phones. also folks need to stop this whole measuring of battery life and just use the phone.

no two person on this world uses devices the exact same way.
