Is this battery usage before or after the February update? I receive an average of 7+ hours of screen usage with my 6T(9.0.12)

When I slept the battery was 44% and after 7 hrs when I wake up my battery was 28%. 14% drain overnight, That's not normal. My wifi was off, all my apps we're closed, but still so much drain. Is it due to the new update ? If not what can I do to overcome this. I also tried switching off the location and clearing cache, doesn't help. Please suggest.

Tap the 3 dots on top right and click Show full device usage.

Assuming by the limited info, I think it's your phone searching for network constantly. You have no signal, the phone is searching for network signals hence draining your battery. Try airplane mode (wifi can be left on), you'll notice the difference.

Yes my area has network issues and we don't get signal here. So yes my phone constantly searches for signal. I'll try keeping it in aeroplane mode and see. BTW this is the full device usage of my phone. Any other suggestions ?

If you have poor network quality where you live and you left your phone on all night it will constantly be searching for a connection and draining the battery rapidly.

Put it into airplane mode, switch on WiFi and don't have any apps open in the background or anything that will be constantly trying to download or refresh - IE email, Facebook, Instagram and so on.

Sounds like this is the reason of my battery drain.
The only thing I am not sure is that I am living in this area from quite sometime but I am noticing this now. Not sure whether it's the exact reason. I'll try this out and see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback. #OneplusCommunity

I suspect it is. In my office building I get terrible network reception and if I forget to connect to my work wifi the battery drains rapidly because it is always searching for a good network signal.

When I am at home with the same use and on WiFi it sips the battery level

But overnight I don't play. I meant my battery is draining when I am sleeping and my phone is idle.

Having your data connection "constantly searching" will take down ANY phones' battery, pretty much w/o fail (this has been true across many phones/OS variants, since cells became popular). Some phones default to a "less aggressive" roaming algorithm in these cases, and do *slightly* better (such as the Nexus 6P, or Pixel lines), but ultimately they drain much faster too, it's just slightly less noticeable.

I bet that just disabling your mobile data, overnight, will correct this, in those areas of low/no signal.
