I have used this phone for 3 years and have never had any battery issue. However, 3 days ago, it suddenly have a serious battery issue. The phone gets very hot easily. And the battery drains very fast. I can tell the difference immediately. I just use the app in the normal way; previously, it didn't get hot at all. Now, even the lightest use will make the phone very hot. Charging will make the phone hot too. And somehow, the fast charging seems no longer working now.

    What are the possible issues?
And what solutions should I try?
Did anyone have had a similar issue? The key point is: it suddenly got worse. I don't think I did anything special to the phone recently.
(Initially posted this in the channel for OnePlus 6. Just realized I have a OnePlus 6T.)

Try to next night charge it over night and see if battery needs optimization.
If nothing helps then rollback or factory reset would be next step

Ok give this a try. open google play store. click on your mug and go into your settings . in network preferences turn off auto update apps. Then in the play store search for google and uninstall which sets it back to the basic google app. This should work for some of you!

My phone used to last two days without issue but after the 11 update it barely gets me through a shift at work with all my apps are set to optimize. Was there no testing done before release? We're supposed to believe Oneplus can properly support the four devices they're determined to put out every year?

ONEPLUS DOESN'T READ THESE FORUMS, ONLY USERS HERE.

Now that that's out of the way, it helps if you could supply some screenshots of the thermals via CPU-Z and a battery graph.

Android system drains the battery like crazy since the 11.11 update. When the bug kicks in the battery barely lasts 3 hours of screen on time and the phone gets warm even idle.

Rebooting usually solves the problem and it gets back to 9 or 10 hours of SOT and no overheating.
Rebooting once a day it's annoying. More so now that rebooting takes way more than it used to before android 11 update.
