    There is no solution to active wifi calling for current version in Canada.

    That function deppends on your carrier, you need to ask to your carrier to enable it for your device model.

    Hi

    I have a One Plus 6 that I'm very happy with. However I live in South Wales and the mobile signal at home is poor.
    I'm on Smarty which runs on the three network. Smarty have just announced WiFi is available on their network, however I can't find it on my phone. I've tried opening the log kit on *#800# but still don't have a WiFi calling option.

    Is this likely change

    It could be that Smarty still needs to whitelist the oneplus device on their network. Contact them to ask if your device is compatible.

    Hi Adam, I have the one plus 6t and have found the WiFi calling cog under settings, WiFi and internet, SIM & network, click on SIM 1 or SIM 2 and turn on the cog for Wi-Fi calling. Hope it works for you.

    Hi there,

    I bought 8T to replace my 5T; noticed that WiFi calling feature on my Three UK SIM only works when in Airplane Mode. Otherwise it decides in the background whether to use 4G data or normal reception. Annoying if you don't get loads of data allowance!

    This isn't the case on the 5T - you get an option to choose how the WiFi calling works - On WiFi only or 4G or both. The option is there to choose from.

    This clearly, is a change in the software that OnePlus has made because I've tried the same SIM card in both phones - screenshots attached as reference n proof.

    Is there a way around this?

    Thanks for your response - but this isn't the problem that I am trying to resolve here.

    WiFi calling is working on the 8T - can be seen in the first screenshot. My question/query is > Why isn't the "Calling preference" option no longer available on 8T like it is on the 5T (screenshot 2).

    Calling Preference feature enables the users to select how the Wifi Calling should work... e.g. Over Wifi or Over LTE.

    OnePlus 8T is launched with Google Communication Suite while OnePlus 5T has OnePlus dialer app. So, there may be some limitations from Google regarding this.

    Not sure whether that alone could or is the issue - as I have now tried multiple SIMs on both 8T n 5T. said:

    All WiFi calling supported SIMs on the 5T have the "Calling Preference" function in the settings; where on 8T "Calling Preference" only seems to appear for O2 SIM.

    Something was changed in either Android 11 or the Oxygen version which is causing this. I am hoping someone from the OnePlus team sees this & post a resolution or guidance on future roadmaps addressing this issue.
