Going to Samsung will not solve this problem. Samsung has also been known to have this problem if you install the wrong version or the wrong update on a device running a beta version. It's always advised no matter who the manufacturer is that if you're running beta software to read the instructions carefully on EVERY update. This is not a manufacturer problem this is a user problem.

If you run beta version, manufacture should not share OTA updates to these phones. This is not user fault.

True, a terrible misstake from Oneplus side indeed. But as a beta tester aren't you supposed to expect issues and read stuff when necessary? Is it truly 100% Oneplus fault when clicking install when having access to the update info? If automatically getting installed without you having anything to say about it...that is one thing. That would be a better reason to be pissed off.
As pointed out above this risk seems to exist for Samsung too.

Being on 12 and getting should be a HUGE warning sign. Isn't there a tiny bit on the user when installing anyway?
    Just my view...

What service center did you send it to? I also live in Sweden and is in the same situation, but bought an iPhone instead. Would be very nice to get the Oneplus 9 to work again so I could sell it.

I'm also in Europe. My phone constantly (like 1-3 times a week) crashes and gets stuck in a bootloop, failing to restart. Sometimes the screen flickers as well. Lately noticed that it especially happens after restarting my phone...... And no I haven't installed OOS 12. Not sure what's wrong with my phone.

If you can't identify what is causing those crashes, you may need to consider Backing up your phone Data and doing a full Erase All Data factory reset to refresh your current installation of OOS on the phone.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I just did a factory reset and while setting up the phone for the first time (you know the settings when you activate your phone for the very first time), my phone crashed again. So, just to be sure, I did a second factory reset. This time not immediately connecting to Wi-Fi. But after connecting to Wi-Fi and setting up Google settings (like filling in my email), after a while my phone crashed again. I'm going to try to contact the store I bought it from first and then might also fill in the feedback form here. But if others have no issues, while I do, I might have a defective phone. I was suspecting software, but I'm not sure atm.

Sounds like a hardware issue. Probably best to return it as you say.
