    OTA won't do anything believe me. It's just a diversion. This problem is going on from April-may, yet they didn't do a thing. Now they are not accepting it...gave me even worse unit. I need to do all things from start..again going to service center again doing shits.

    As I said, it's not a software issue. My friend got his op8pro black 8/128 from OnePlus.in and it doesn't have any defect on screen(ordered on 15 june, Delivered on 27 june) . Sample of the display on grey colour on 10-15 brightness

    Take my word, it's not fixable through software cause it's not software related issue. It's actually a hardware failure.

    So, in your case what r u gonna do?

    Will u be using the device the way it is or u r planning get it replaced/Fixed.

    By now the number of responses ppl have given/shares it's quite evident that this issue is very common.

    Even if one is planning to get the device replaced there is no guarantee tha the fresh unit will be perfect.

    What r your thoughts??

    Device submitted to service center yesterday . I don't know what will I get ...but yes, it's uncertain about perfect device.

    Can you please raise the issue. I am facing a similar kind of issue i have submitted the device and i am still waiting and every other day they are giving a new excuse.My case id from serbice center is H595ABRP2N from the service center. My case id allotted on mail against complain is 200625003318.

    Hey,

    You didn't opt for oneplus replacement scheme.
    As we all know every unit has some or the other issue.
    Plus in this pandemic supply is limited and demand is really very high. Even if the device is sent to authorised Oneplus service center there is no guarantee how much time it's going to take to get the issue fixed.
    Lastly, if the device behaves only in an abnormal manner at low brightness its not much of a concern at the moment.
    what really matters is the performance.

    In fact, may I know where do u put up??

    Performance!! Bro practically on day to day usage , there is not major difference in 855+ to 865 and nor in 90hz to 120hz . Screen is the most essential part on any smartphone , op themselves told they got the best display.

    If they don't resolve your issue just write an email that you are going to proceed legally if they do not issue a replacement device. I had a similar situation with my air conditioner where the company didn't replace my defective unit. They immediately responded after I sent them an email and gave me a replacement air conditioner.

    The website says they will respond within 48 hours latest. The only thing i got is a ticket number and have been sending reminders but all in vain. There is no response from the team. The biggest irony is no one even cares for addressing the issue .
