Make sure to disable battery optimization for now on your dialler app. See if that makes a difference.

Did you reset your phone which is recommended after a major update?

Is it possible to go back to previous version? I cannot stand the new fonts and coloring. Very difficult for these old eyes to focus.
here is an example of how text messaging appears now. Outline fonts should not be used for reading, especially when everything is so small. At least the option to change this would be much appreciated.

Disable or remove all the gaming, social media and other unusual apps and I'm willing to bet your phone will perform nicely. Remember the Development team does NOT test updates on phones loaded with third party apps :)

After the Android 11 update, I lost my android app folder without any warning. Hence all my app data is gone. Only my pereonal data is still there. Also OnePlus doesn't give option to restore app data unless its a new phone or you have reset your phone completely. Another bug is, it has created two android folders in the same path which doesn't make sense. For parallel apps, it has created a pseudo sdcard by the name ace-999? Please help.

Recommended by who? By you? By all others that always try to justify this mess of an update? Care to share with us this official recommendation?
How about accepting the fact that the bloated the release is (eg India) the worse it is, while the EU one seems a bit better? But nooo, it's always the user's fault, always the user that must delete all the data after every update.

    I don’t speak about EVERY update,…
I was merely talking about a major update.
I read that once in blog and forum posts years (2012?) before....
I have always reset each of my devices (Samsung, Google, OnePlus, Sony) after a major update (Android 5 after 6, 6 after 7, etc,..). Made a backup.
Reason: possible junk files, errors, etc. are so not taken into the new version. You have a clean start….
It helped many people in the past,…
So this is why I recommend it, if you are facing issues AFTER a major update…
If you are still facing issues AFTER a clean start, you can contact devs … it will help them,… they get fresh logs,…. Not logs containing old junk stuff…
No need to get insulting or attacking.
I'm just speaking from the positive experiences I've had myself or others have had over the past few years - with different manufacturers and different Android versions.

Please do not forget that I am just a user just like YOU. And I ONLY want to help.

    @Arjun_Choudhry :rolleyes: here we go,…

I still don't see that official recommendation mentioned anywhere. There's a difference between personal experience or opinion and a recommendation, is it not?

    Let's see how this goes:
User 1 reports problem A. You suggest factory reset. User 1 factory resets, problem A persists.
User 2 reports same problem A. You suggest factory reset. User 2 factory resets, problem A persists.
    ...
User n reports same problem A. You suggest factory reset. User n factory resets, problem A persists.

Do you see a pattern here?

Almost everyone complains about the same issues. Lagging issues, charging issues, heating issues, performance issues, low volume issues, low vibration issues, non working ambient display issues. They are always recommended to factory reset, which we already know doesn't help. But yeah, it's the recommended way..

I wonder how many people factory reset their phone, and still do to this day, for the camera issue on HD1903 on OB3, OB4, MP1, because people like you still recommend that, when the outcome clearly is the same.

Personally happened many times in my case.
Fixed lag, charging, performance, Ambient Display issues.
Also has helped numerous other people I've suggested it to.

where did I speak about an official recommendation?

    regarding your pattern:
That’s why I told give feedback to the devs!

it helps,… again,… I never faced any problems after a MAJOR update after a fresh and clean start…

And did you all give proper feedback?
