I actually tried. LOS still doesn't have 18.1 for 6/T.
Havoc OS is on a 4 month old build.
Pixel experience is not officially available.

Actually, the custom rom community on OP6/T is quite stagnant compared to other OP models.

    Just posted today for LineageOS

LineageOS 18.1 brings Android 11 to the OnePlus 6/6T, ASUS ZenFone 5Z, and Xiaomi Mi Note 3

Absolutely agree with all the above.
Samsung's update policy and Mi 11 Ultra's camera looks too appetizing for me to continue with OnePlus.
Will most likely upgrade to a Samsung next year, and be done with OnePlus once and for all, unless they make a drastic turnaround in terms of updates and components used (still love OOS over OneUI ;))

Finally a piece of information at least.
Stable version maybe 1 year later than expected, when Android 12 will be release huhu
    Good 👌🏻🤡

While I agree with the sentiment here (please check my above posts too), you seriously expected OnePlus to rollout OOS 11 of the 6T in September/October 2020, especially considering their "less-than-stellar" update history?

    see i used op 5 6 7 8
    my 7 and 8 both run A11
    while 6 on A10
5 on custom rom namely revenge os
i think if someone like a office goer like my father and me are happy using A11 after waiting there should be
    no problem

If they don't, then people can use the statement above to complain and make that point. Until then though let's see what happens. If, but, maybe won't get us anywhere. Let's stick to OnePlus statement and see where it takes us. 👍

Well it will be Beta initially, so it's effectively testing software and will require feedback to be given to iron out any issues when it gets to stable.

I think you misunderstood me there. I did read the OnePlus statement. What I meant was, as angry as users are about this news, it would have been unwise to expect the update in Sept/Oct 2020 for the 6 series, especially considering OnePlus' history with updates for older phones, and the fact that the 6 series was 3rd in line to get the update (4th if you wanna count the Nord)

I am big fan of Lineage OS after CyanogenMod.
I will switch my another device ONEPLUS 6 to LineageOS.
The unofficial Lineage OS 18.1 is available, but I think next build will be Official. (Maintainer LuK1337).

Yes, I get what you said. Actually am wondering will the N10 and N100 get it before 6 Series as they are newer phones. 🤔

Well, we can only hope, although the stable will be after the Beta builds have been tested

Just received my OP 9 Pro, but will still use the 6T. I'll wait until 11 arrives, as I have waited this long, I want to see how it works out on the 6T. If its good I'll leave it on it. If not, the Custom central, here we come. Then A12 custom rom next year, maybe LineageOS 19 👍

    *playing advocate of the devil*

    Commissioner Gordon:
I understand you want OOS 11 as fast as anyone else. Looking at the track record from the past and I only will state the last update as I didn't feel like searching too much as I've been doing this way too much lately.

    OP3(T) final update 9.0.6 November 20th 2019
    OP5(T) final update 10.0.1 November 11th 2020
OP6{T} final update........... Who can tell?

Looking at it this way, it's still within the same time frame. However, the timing between the first release of the final update gets shorter with every device I think (but that's from my memory I must say and not based on any research), as well as the beta testing. I haven't been member of cbt but I'm sure there is no cbt for OP6(T) hell, I even think cbt for OP7 is closed, looking at the way updates are done. So the time period between a beta release and the final stable release gets shortened every time so less time is taken for testing.

Edit: oh and this isn't to defend anybody, just a stement of last updates. It still sucks but in a consistent way.(time wise)
