Hope you are not serious. This is way too much for notification mistake.
I don't know if someone should be fired, but I do know OnePlus should explain this in detail.
Also, apparently, if you click on the notifications, it shows the message "Browser not Found".
"Dev accident" can be on of 3 things:
1: Someone high on drugs
2: Officeparty gone bad
3: Someone not want to work at OP anymore, and gave access to the State of China.
Received two push messages this morning with a Oneplus logo with random character as the payload, see attached screenshot.
Anyone else had this?
Those are three logic and totally reasonable conclusions you have there
It's probably related to the last versions of oxygen OS because my friends with old version (1+3, 1+5 and 1+6) did not receive this notification at all.
This is no mistake. It's a classic cover-up!
Until OP releases a report in full details on the "mistake", i'm not gonna buy it!
please read the main thread here.
A lot of users have those notifications and as you can see there, OnePlus is already aware of the situation and investigating what happened.
R u sure?
Maybe i was overreacting. But i got scared as hel!
OnePlus on Facebook:
During an internal test, our OxygenOS team accidentally sent out a global push notification to some OnePlus 7 Pro owners. We would like to apologise for any difficulties, and assure you that our team is currently investigating the error. We’ll share more information soon.
I, too, rec'd these notifications!
