Nothing closed minded about it, but when those who don't want to deal with the facts, they decide anyone who doesn't agree with them is a fanboi of some sort. It's sad you can just debate the issue without resorting to name calling. But that's the level I am dealing with here I guess. 🙄

The facts are there, from the precedence with the other phones I mentioned. The fact you don't want to accept that is on you, not me. It's all there for all to see. Phone model numbers are in a series and that series is treated as one entity and includes the T series. It's not hard to figure out.

Aside from that, and it all being so simple to see and read you would be better to take your argument to OnePlus directly. As we are all users here, or fanbois as you seem to think. Then contact OnePlus directly to make your point. They are the ones who will do anything about it. Not users on the Community.

Uhm..I don't know how much this will help OxygenOS Users..I see it a way to make OxygenOS a ColorOS fork, losing all the beauty of this version.

Bye bye oneplus, you should give all your flagship model to atleast 3 android updates I've bought oneplus only because of 3 software updates but it sad to see that you didn't include op7 t series.
Very unfair for 7t series no AOD till now, many bugs still present, my last oneplus device, will switch to galaxy flagship now.

OnePlus is being shitty over the time...
Ignoring community voices and ignoring the bugs on old devices.
    Nothing has been changed.
It's getting boring and boring and losing tech enthusiasts and OnePlus lovers.
I hate OnePlus now as a brand.

I don't agree to this point. There is practically no difference between the 7pro/7tpro vs the 8 series apart from may be the SOC.
Regarding 'T' variant they are different. Just look at what apple is doing. iPhone 6 was last updated to ios 12. However the 6s (which according to you should be of same series) should also have been updated to ios 12, yet it is getting ios 15. Mind you its a 7 year old phone.

The OnePlus 7 series not getting the update to Android 13 is simply lazy and irresponsible behaviour from OnePlus. The 7 series phones will be perfectly capable to run Android 13 and even Android 14 for that matter.

And the fun part is OnePlus copied (might hurt the fanbois and experts) the moniker of using 'T' as against Apple's 'S' variant.

    Finally settled!

Atleast the developers over xda will be kind enough to provide us with custom roms.

That might be deciding factor to keep me in with OnePlus.
There are loads of attractive phones better priced but they lack oxygen OS and the slider on the side.
Haven't upgraded to a op9 because my op6 is still a great performer and can't justify the upgrade but there are other I was taking into consideration like the new zenfones, Poco,Realme,etc...even the pixel 5 seems a good buy and this news just made it redundant for me!
