There is no battery issue. It’s all how you use your phone. Stop posting about this, specially because this new update was released only 24h ago, unless there was something major serious there is no way for you to tell that there’s a baterry problem! Stop it.

I tested the camera it's me or I have the clear impression that it pulls less in the red than before? I have the impression that the battery holds less than before by cons.
In any case always as stable for the rest as Du bohneur.

If you gotta ask that then it's best you don't do anything and wait for the update to arrive to you when it's meant to.

now that you say that... I found on the phone, when I first tried it, that there was something there that was 162 days old. I have no idea if it was the equipment itself, the oxygen os version. I wonder if I got an old version of the phone.. that would be sad.

Finally, I guess most of the people who have received updates finally tested out their OP's and have a good idea about the update, so here is the main question:

Should I update my OP6 considering the numerous fixes but no fix for the battery? Is the battery draining faster than ever?

I am getting kind of a mixed response from the forum and have decided to answer this question for everyone once and for all. Please elaborate on the answers.

I really regetted updating from the factory version solely due to the battery department. So, yes, I am curious.

Recently, it is mentioned by OnePlus that an additional update 5.1.10 will be rolled out "soon"(next week), that will address the battery draining issue, which was provided to the Chinese customers in Hydrogen OS update 5.1.11. It is also said to include the July Security Patch. Can someone confirm this piece of information? What do you think will be the time-frame of its arrival?

I'm not entirely sure how bad the battery drain is on 5.1.8 but... on 5.1.9 it's pretty good. At least for me. (Excessive) battery drain is based on multiple factors such as signal strength, running apps, corrupted ROM, etc.
