Post your experiences after updating your one plus 3T via VPN. Share how much battery life you are getting after updating via VPN compared to previous. Let us know if you are facing any other issues.

But you will be getting global version update right instead of India specific update. Whether that makes any difference? Is there any difference at all?

It may change based on region right? Do you know any such differences between global and region specific updates?

I seriously don't get why people think that if they update using a vpn, it's going to be a different update. It doesn't work that way. Everyone gets the same update.

VPN makes no difference to the update.
The update is the same for all.
The only differences will be location specific, these will still be built into the code wherever you are, and only go "live" when your true location is known.

Tldr: update via VPN if you want the update sooner, it will make no difference.

How is getting OTA via VPN any different? VPN just allows you to jump the queue and nothing else.

if you want to get the release faster then you could use a VPN. or just wait until the release is ready for your region.
