It's specific to handset. I'm on 33r latest and don't have any of the problems others have. Over 6 hours screen time and almost 30 hours on.
I hope that day comes soon. I am a fan of the phone and CM but they should have done a better job in updating the software. CM is the mainstay software on this thing and not just a 3rd party OS with limited support.
I really need help in updating my OPO. For your info, my OPO is a China version but flashed to CM11S.
I'm a newbie to CM11S and now my current version is 11.0-XNPH22R.
Now the question is - my phone shows there is an update available for my system which is XNPH25R Incremental.
But when I press the install update button, it shows the following in the 4 pictures.
Hope you guys can guide me through in updating, or even updating to the newest version of CM11S.
You can do an install through fastboot. Download the 25R firmware and then go for fastboot
I think you need to use fastboot commands to reflash the stock system.img file as the error seems to show that one of the files is failing the validation check.
Thanks for replying.
As I have said, I'm very new to CM and an idiot in programming and stuffs like that. Will you be able to guide me through the fastboot process?
Many thanks again.
You need to have a working setup of android commands like adb and fastboot. Shortest way is to download any oneplus toolkit which will install these commands.
See this for a guide.
Before you try the above guide, you will have to unlock bootloader by:
1. Boot into fastboot mode
2. Run " fastboot unlock oem". This will wipe/erase all devices.
So I just got my new OPO today. Should I keep it at 25R since the newer updates are buggy?
Now that's impressive!
just got my oneplus- updated it to the latest version. battery life is HORRIBLE- not even a day on standby and it is completely drained.
wifi off, bluetooth off, mobile data off, even gestures and doubletake on wake is off!
clean install is your solution...mine on 33r is perfect except for the wifi/data problem which i had on all versions
Seem like the thread link is taken down. Hope new huge update OTA will come soon!
The link is broken due to a typo, the thread is still there but locked as the info contained was debunked by a member of the CM team.
Oh, saw a thread showing screenshot on about phone showing 38R, and it turn out to be fake.
I'm not sure what the real story is, why would that guy post fake info like that? I wonder if his buddy pranked him and he ran with the info?
stay there for now.
I don't think he was pranked, I think he pranked us.
