It depends. I recently had to use a Note 4 instead of the other phones I had around (Mate 10 Pro/Note 9/OnePlus 6T). Difference? Uh... none? Only thing I missed was the fingerprint reader (any kind), as the Note 4 has only a very rudimentary one that does not even work in/with apps.

Other than that, it's... it's a great device still. Since Android apps are very backward compatible, even if you are stuck on an old OS/Android version - if you had a decent chipset in your phone - they last a looong time.
Sooo there is really no reason to upgrade, unless you want to.
You can also just put up your phone for a decent amount of money, and IF someone buys it for so much, then you may get a 7 Pro. I guess.

first find out if the 7pro can indeed run apps and games on 90 Hz refresh rate.
and what about camera and other bugs.
it's always prudent to wait for a month after the phone is released.
you come to know exactly what's good and what's not.

Even if it could, a current generation SOC won't ever hit 90 FPS solid in games. Let alone 60.
Even a PC needs a beefy hardware (1070/1070 TI, a 7700, fast ram) to reach 60 solid in 2K... I know, mobile games are more simple. But the idea remains the same. It's double the pixels than a 1080p panel. And 1080p 60hz is rare to see too.

Honestly? Mobile devs should just use "fake 2K" like the checkerboard 1080p thing Sony used for Killzone on the Playstation.

    Ps.:
    > 1 month
I used a 6T for longer and I know a dozen other issues that people barely ever mention or bring up. Using a phone is always different than just reading up on it. Just send it back if you don't like it.

If your not having issues with your current phone and don't need all the stuff that the newer phones have, then no there's no need to upgrade to the 7Pro in my book.

I have the 5T also and have no desire to upgrade to the 7pro.

I have the 5t and just ordered the 7pro :) My wife will get my 5t, she is currently still using her old oneplus2. So the decision is easy for me. I´m also very satisfied with my 5t, but i´m looking forward to a much better camera ...

Try to sell your old phone because in exchange you won't get much amount.

Same for me I've been saving money since 6 came out and managed to save over £750. And I'm gonna upgrade my one plus 5 8gb 128gb to one plus 7 pro 12gb 256gb. I'm very interested in the wrap charge. And my brother will get my one plus 5.and he will be upgrading his one plus 3t to my one plus 5.

For me personally the 90hz and wrap charge is a big factor. I've used the razer 2 with 120hz and gotta admit! The fluidity is so amazing and the experience is wroth the upgrade. Even though 7 pro don't have the 120hz, 90hz should still be very good for a quick snappy phone.
I've saved money for almost a year and If 7 pro came without the 90hz I would have skipped it. But 90hz is a deal breaker for me. And the wrap charge is also a bonus.
I would have loved it. If one plus 7 pro came with super vooc with 50w that would made this phone even better.

Regarding if you should upgrade, you should look into matter like, cost, problem with your current phone and will the upgrade worth it for you.
If cost is not issue, definitely get the 7 Pro.
If cost is a issue as 7 pro is a bit expensive than all the other one plus phone and you have personally no problem with your current phone. I would hold onto it for a while.

It seems the 7 would be the ideal replacement for the 5T. The Pro would be overkill. How much have you desperately wanted a pop up selfie camera or a 90hz refresh?
Only upgrade if you really want to if you have the 5T or older.
