Better to move to some other OEMs. Future of OnePlus isn't very good, as of now, both hardware and software wise. Just my opinion. Period

The S20 FE 5G (not the 4G version with the Exynos chipset) is a good option. Has waterproofing, a better camera, Wireless charging, and get monthly security patches (will get updates for longer too)

Was about to suggest the same, if he is from India. Should be a good one with Snapdragon processor too, in India.

9R has a Snapdragon 870 while the S20 FE 5G has a Snapdragon 865. They are literally the same chipset, except the larger core is slightly overclocked in the 870. Should show no meaningful difference in real-world scenario

Exactly. We all know that the 8T has quite a few issues, and the 9R is an 8T in a different color (and slightly overclocked processor, which should lead to even more heating)

I really appreciate ur suggestions.... But samsung s20fe is available in 47999/- indian rupees while 8T is in 36000/- including discount....
N performance is good in 8t n great charging speed with battery drain time is long....
And even the customer service is also great that I found in OnePlus.... Hence I am still stick to OnePlus...
I am not denying, samsung is amazing phone but for me it's being a bit overpriced

There are a lot of issues in the 8T (frequent System UI crashes, lots of heating and battery drain issues and pretty average camera). If you want to risk it (some users have reported that their devices work fine), great.
Else, take a look at offline stores (Samsung official stores offer very decent discount). Should get down to around 40-42K

Should be under 50K, going by the current trends (and it should be a significant improvement over the 8T/9R)
