    ok, my concern is not the usual about fast charging but about connectivity in my car system for Android auto. it works only with the stock usb cable.i have tried several other cables, even those that can fast charge other phones but none has worked.

    so my question is, what is special about the stock usb cable except dash for fast charge and what cable should i look to buy for this task?

    I got the same issue as you on my freshly bought Oneplus 7T pro.
    The only cable that work with android auto is the one provided with the phone.
    Did you know more why that ?

    I have the same issue with my new OP8, I wish I knew what makes the stock USB c cable work for connecting to Android auto and other cables to act like their unsupported. You're metal insulated in plastic/rubber, act like it!!
