  1. betsyan Donut Nov 13, 2014

    betsyan, Nov 13, 2014 :
    Greetings everyone!

Many of our Canadian customers have requested us to look into offering USPS as an alternative shipment method.

We are happy to announce that OnePlus now offers our Canadian customers the following shipping options, effective immediately!

    1. Standard - USPS First Class Mail International Package*

    2. Express - DHL Express

    *Please note:
The USPS delivery service to Canada does not incorporate “Signature upon Delivery”. Hence, by assigning USPS for this service, you have acknowledged and accepted all involved risks to be yours and the USPS delivery status to be ruling.

curious, do you guys have a warehouse in the US that ships out OPO to US customers or does the phone just come in from a chinese shipping company and then USPS takes care of it afterwards?

Just a note for future customers. USPS First Class Mail will be insanely slower than DHL, and you will most likely still pay GST/PST and the Canada Post $9.95 handling fee using USPS. Sometimes customs doesn't inspect packages, so you will get off the charges. It's a risk you take in expected charges at the door, but nice to know there's an ooption

I just got an invite the other day and chose that standard shipping method. Thanks 1+ and fellow Canadians.

edit: Will report back what I get charged at the door.
Update: Ordered Nov. 12 and received Nov. 19 and did not get charged anything for standard shipping at the door.
*Note: Delivery guy rang the door bell, but did not ask for a signature. So I don't know what they would do if nobody was home.

No, OnePlus will value the item as $299 even though its $349 so they help some there with less tax that can be charged.
